Hey All -

I am so sorry I've been completely out-of-touch. I have been undergoing a big move while being 7 months pregnant - some of you know what a huge task that is. I've felt really guilty for not being able to jump online and read all the posts but I have tried to answer PMs whenever possible.

I just got this in an email and wanted to share it with you guys...

Our friends at On The Marc Media have passed along the following news:

Under Our Skin will be featured on Dr. Mehmet Oz's radio show on Oprah

and Friends.

XM Satellite Radio, November 26, 2008.

It airs 3 times during that day at 1:00 am, 7:00 am and 6:00 pm Eastern time.

*You can listen to via the Internet FOR FREE even if you don't have Satellite Radio!

Plus Dr. Oz said, "He wants to hear from people who are suffering with Lyme."

We are all encouraged to email Dr. Oz! Use the web form here:

http://tinyurl.com/57cwvk

This may be your chance to talk one-on-one with Dr. Oz. Ask him your

questions and you could be featured on the air!

Dr. Mehmet Oz said, "His entire family couldn't stop watching Under Our Skin". Dr. Oz interviewed filmmaker Andy Abrahams Wilson along with medical reporter Kathy Fowler for nearly an hour about the complications and controversies of Lyme disease.

It's a very big deal for the Lyme community that Dr. Oz featured this topic on his show because he is well respected and has a lot of influence in the medical community as well as the general public.

Dr. Mehmet Oz is professor and vice chairman of surgery at Columbia

University in New York City, director of the Cardiovascular Institute

and founder and director for the Complementary Medicine Program at

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He is a regular contributor to The Oprah Winfrey Show and Oprah.com.

*You can listen to the show if you don't have Satellite Radio... These are the instructions we received from Oz's producer.

You can sign up online for free the day that your interview airs.

Go to http://www.oprah.com/oaf

and click on the “Free 30 Day XM Radio Trial.”

Just register, and you can listen online. (And, tell your friends to do the same!)

There might be last minute changes so check http://www.oprah.com/oaf

as the air calendar can change last minute!

Wow. This is great. Many people rallying on Capitol Hill oughta make a difference but in fact, in this country, media exposure, and from such a high-profile medical professional, can make a huge difference...this is great.

Great - 2000 character min is small - but I condensed my story and submitted...
I know what I am and I know what I am not

Never put it past this disease to be the culprit - but we also cant brainwash ourselves into believing that it is the only thing

****It's a very big deal for the Lyme community that Dr. Oz featured this topic on his show because he is well respected and has a lot of influence in the medical community as well as the general public.****

Hopefully the "L" word will become more of a household word after his talk. And perhaps he might be able to persuade Oprah to put some valid (and correct) information out on her show, which will be listened to more than even his words.

Unless I remember wrong (a possibility) I know that there was/has been big letter-writing campaigns in the past to try and convince her to feature an llmd on her show or some 'valid' information not filtered through the CDC.

As far as I know, she remains 'interested' but no bananas.

*****Three days after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, Oprah sent Oz and a camera crew to Louisiana to help survivors.

He paddled around in the fetid water in a trash can helping victims get medical care****

Dr. Oz does love a photo-op! Reading the above, an excerpt from a Forbes article makes me wonder, though------between Oprah's billions and his millions if they couldn't have afforded a rowboat! Or the Queen Mary.

Read a profile of Dr. Oz.

That man's going places.

I just hope that he gets the 'straight scoop' from the producer of Under Our Skin. AND passes it on.

I think its outstanding news...Can't wait to listen...Hate Oprah but will listen...I think her actions during the election were childless on her part....And her "Pitty me all the time" tends to get to me...Just me SPEAKING, no need to fight...LOL LOL
