------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------

My situation is that I have lost more than 100 lbs. for no reason. I was overweight and I did start eating less two years ago. I thought it took a year for my body to realize that, and then I started to lose. But then it took off, and I lost more and more in a very short period of time - 70 of the pounds in just three months. Now, I don't look good. For the amount I eat, I should weight 180-185 (and I look good at that size). I weight 135. And just recently, a third type of neuropathy was found - autonomic nervous system. Included in this is no digestion motility. But they say this is not the reason for the weight loss.

I've seen information here that sugar is to be avoided, low carbing is the way to go. First, I hate cooking and it takes a lot out of me. Secondly, when I've tried to low carb in the past, my symptoms got much worse in the first week and I just couldn't keep going with it. Third, it's expensive.

Does it have to be low carb and how strict does it really need to be? I need something that I can actually do - easy meals but enough food variety and things that taste good. Also, I dislike meat but I'll choke it down if necessary (with the exception of a good steak, which is too expensive).

Thanks for your help!!!

Lori

I also wanted to add that if I had to go on a strict low carb diet, I would ending up losing a lot more weight, which I cannot afford to do. I understand that sugar is hard on the immune system and that abx encourages yeast which feeds on the sugar, which brings down the immune system even more. I get it. But I can't lose any more weight, either. So, if anyone has a diet that works (that is not a strict low carb diet), I would really like some help. Thank you!!!
