*****I also trust that most people have enough common sense to research something themselves before putting it in their mouths.

It's great to share all this wonderful information, but I hope that most people have enough common sense to ask their doctors about it, too.*****

Agreed.

I agree...Like when I first got lyme, I read to drink your "PEE" and that will cure you, ok I knew better....

I myself do check with my doctor if I start something I feel he needs to know about. I guess I am lucky as I can fax my doctor what I want to do and if he thinks its a NO NO, I get a phone call ASAP...

That was my thought Connie, why can be discuss abx and the names but not the natural stuff...We aren't selling it just speaking about it in hopes it might help another sick memeber, isn't that what this board is about, to help not always fight each other...We are sick enough, we have enough to deal with in life, fighting is a hugh waste of time in my eyes...

Stay warm snowing in chicago, getting my new shovel out...

I have always said it's fine to mention products, just don't mention the manufacturer or business. Don't tell people where to buy the stuff, that should be done on PMs. The public boards should not be an advertisement place for - again - businesses or manufacturers.

Why can't anyone read that?

Tom

I am not a doctor, and nothing I say here should be taken as medical advice of any kind.

My opinion is that members should not be advertisements for businesses, though message posting. I think books are okay to mention, as are generic product names.

Discussing a specific manufacturer of medicines or supplements that can be purchased without a prescription, should be discussed off the boards. Again, so that a posting is not used as an advertisement.

You can post and ask other members to contact you by PM if they are interested in knowing about a particular product, by a specific manufacturer.

The message you have above is okay, but just ask members to send you a PM if they want to hear more.

Tom

Buckron Says:

Tom i dont understand what your saying I asked a simple question "Product Names Ok to Post?" as i dont want to get anyone worked about it.So your answer was "You can post and ask other members to contact you by PM if they are interested in knowing about a particular product,by a specific manufacturer." To me that meant if product names are to mentioned it should be done by PM..Did you mean something different? Like i am supposed to read in between the lines for a different meaning? I said OK and left it alone..and requested a PM from another member..That was it.Simple..i respected your request now its turned around and Now Julie and I have to defend ourselves? I don't get it..can we just drop it? Thanks And drop the other stuff too..U know the science of medicine thing in the Salt/Vitamin C protocol post i would appreciate it. Thank you

Ron,

I'm not worked up and I'm not Tom.

But maybe I can clear some things up?

You asked:

***." To me that meant if product names are to mentioned it should be done by PM..Did you mean something different?****

Picking out a particular sentence by Tom:

****I have always said it's fine to mention products, just don't mention the manufacturer or business. Don't tell people where to buy the stuff, that should be done on PMs.

That means:

Mentioning 'samento' is fine.

Saying (or giving an url to) 'it can be bought at such and such a place or site----is not fine. That's advertising.

The mere mention of a supplement and how it helped you or didn't help you is your personal opinion, which is fine.

Or--- another way:

The name of a product is o.k.

The name of the manufacturer of that product is not o.k., according to this sites' rules.

A picture of a bottle/tube or whatever is 'advertising', since it will show the manufacturer's logo or name.

A url to a site that sells that product is not o.k.

O.K.

Yeah that was like many posts later after some other members commented,I just think someone is on my case again..just trying to respect other members wishes was what i was originally trying to do..this is getting ridiculous the "Little Kids in the Sandbox" Scenario once again.

Tom:

I will post here so everyone can read what I have to say as I have nothing to hide. Plus this is about the above emails.

First, I'm not here to fight with you, I have bigger fish to fry in my life then fight with anyone. This is a message board where people come to for help, not fighting...

Second, It seems like when anyone no matter who it may be posts ANYTHING about "natural" you get out of wack. Go back and read your emails to members. You always put them down (not the person) the "Natural Route"...You will start out saying "Something good" but in between you will down it...No one downs you for being on abx's for as long as you have been...At least I have not....

Third: YES abx's work, for some and not for others, just like the "Natural route" works for some and not others. On and On and on....This debate could go on until I'm 100 years old....Which is approaching faster then I would like...

Forth: Can't we EVER just once post what we feel without all the B.S. Can't we voice what we have to say in a manner that people will not be hurt by, can't we all just get ALONG...Its beginning to look like we can't and thats a total shame....

Fifth: I don't feel if someone asks where I buy something its "Selling the product" its letting them know where I buy it...I buy my milk at "Jewel made by Deans" is that selling the product, NO...

Sixth and formost: Its the holidays, we are sick, whichs make this time of year even harder, can't we all just calm down, be THANKFUL for this board, agree to disgree in a manner that we don't hurt one another??

Peace

Julie
