I know Igenex is the best, but I found out my wonderful new LLMD uses LabCorp.... thoughts on this??

I am still going to ask him about running them through Igenex (going to take the paperwork with me in the morning when I see him next), but is LabCorp acceptable??

Thoughts please... and thank you!

I would go with Igenex, but that's just me and my experience.

Good luck!

Thanks, everybody,

Well, the receptionist wasn't sure when I had asked her about the labs, and the only one she could think of for Lyme was LabCorp, BUT, they DO do Igenex, and consider it the "Gold Standard" so we did that... he had the Igenex kit already waiting for me!

Julie.... Why did your's cost over a thousand dollars??? Did you have to repeat it quite a few times? Mine is $245 for starting out... hoping I won't need to keep retrying after that, but we'll see what comes back in a couple of weeks. *fingers crossed*

Good luck with the test! It seems to take forever, so hang in there.

Mine cost $1200 for Lyme and co-infections, ins. did reimburse about $800.

Yikes! Well, we are not testing for co-infections because after doing the comprehensive testing, he feels now that I don't have co-infections. But, I responded strongly to the Borrelia and it's systemic. He said he usually gets results back in about 2 weeks so I will probably call him while on my vaca to check.... I am anxious to get the results. We're treating no matter what, he says no matter the results we know I have Lyme and he will treat me for it. So nice of him to reassure me of that!!
