I just finally got my appt. with my LLMD and finally had my Lyme validated.. So, we are still in the process of getting started on everything, and will be doing labs & all sorts of other stuff next week. My doctor does think I have co-infections. I can't wait to get on a treatment plan... we'll be planning that out soon. My family & I are going to be leaving on vacation in about a week and a half, and so I think at this point, I want to wait to get started on treatments until we get back so I'm not herxing really bad and ruin it for everyone else. I feel awful as it is, and so I worry that intially I'm going to feel much, much worse. I hope not, but I'd hate to find out while we're away. Going to be a sentimental trip so we don't need any 'excess baggage' (yes, pun there LOL,.. have to make stupid jokes,.. in too much pain!)

My eyes are just in almost a constant state of agony.... among other things, but this is still so bad that it is distracting me from a lot of the other stuff. It's not worth it. Honestly, I would rather still be noticing the other things more, and have my eyes ease up. My neck, hips knees & heels are still strong enough that I can't forget them, but the eyes have definitely made the neuopathy a bit less noticeable lately. It's still there, the eyes just hurt more right now... goodness it's intense!

Magalie, thanks for the tip.... my eyes aren't red, but they do feel dry sometimes. I blink a LOT. It hurts to keep my eyes open for long, but then it also hurts to keep them closed for long, too, so it's a constant battle with fluctuating them between being open & closed.

I've had light sensitivity since my teens as well as floaters. Only in the last 10 years or so (I'm now 46)have my eyes become worse. Need my readers anytime I work on a computer, increasing the strength each year. Saw an opthamologist last year when I thought I had fibro and he advised me to use the readers to keep from spending lots of money on a prescription glasses. I also find myself in a head forward posture at work on my computer which in turn causes the headaches/neck aches. A vicious cycle! I've read that the spirochetes gravitate to areas that are rich in collagen such as the eyes, knees etc.

A good resource that has given me alot of relief from the pain is trigger point massage therapy - some done at home, some with a massage therapist. An EXCELLENT book is The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook - have gone through on book already, the pages were falling out. They now have a second edition. Some primary muscles responsible for eye pain are the subocciptals and you'll probably want a massage therapist to work these since the skin is pretty thin in this area. It has always helped me.

I get the eye pressure pains too. At first I thought it was revitalash, then went to my eye dr-eyes were perfect. Think it is due to the lyme

I have had occular migraines for 10 yrs, I get a tunnel vision where I cant see for about 20 min and then the headache comes on.

My eyes are sooo sensitive to light! always feel like i am somewhat squinting! And the do burn at times but it is the floaters that i have had for probablt 15 yrs or more - that are noticibly getting worse. It is frustrating trying to read and the little black spots start moving on the page!! Had my eyes checked last year and one is 20/20 and the other 20/30. Hard to make sense of that!

one thing that bothers me most is the vision disturbance at times - like i am looking into the horizon......everything appears like a heat wave~!

Does anyone else experience this??

my eyes are badly affected, ofen blurred but these black floaters are everywhere, often like swarms of mosquitoes in my vision path and peripherally, so i want to best retina andeye doc and he said nothing wrong so as usual I felt lost until the LMD said that Lyme loves to ive in the eye tissue and is a real bugger ( pardon the punn) to get rid of as antibx often dont penetrate that tissue so i plan to do hyperbarics with the anti bx as hyperbarics can oush anti bx into fluids that they cant normally reach...i told him I see the squiggles with heads on them in my eyes and he said that i might actually be seeing relfection of them in te occular beind the eye...if you have lyme in the eyes dont blow it off..Lyme can cause blindness for the very reason that they can live in the eyes and do lots of stuff....

google lyme and the eyes..they love to hide out there.

scary stuff...

Mine are like little whitish tiny dots (hundreds) that swirl around rapidly all over. Is this what you see? I have had this for about 10 yrs, also my vision is like a slightly fuzzy tv screen. Everytime I get my eyes checked the dr says all is good.
