"Lyme Awareness" (karazon)

MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

I just found out that I have lost a very good friend. In fact, I spoke with her just a few days before she died. The lyme world has lost a great worrior, and a true friend, as have I. I am devistated and crushed.

Leslie Wermers, known here as Deputy643, died Nov. 3, in her sleep due to complications from lyme disease.

Please, please keep her family in your prayers. She was only 41 years old. I couldn't even tell you all she did for me alone, let alone all the people she reached out to. SHe was an amazing woman, and I wll miss her dearly.

Les, I know you're with us, and I love you. I can't believe this, I miss you.

love,

jaime

Oh, I am so sad. This is awful. At the very least, she is no longer in pain. God bless her family as they try to make sense of this devastating loss.

Open your mind to the possibilities available to you.

An attitude of gratitude is good 'medicine,' too.

I just want to let you all know, I just spoke with some of her family. She died in her sleep, her heart stopped. She was only 41 years old. Lyme is serious. If it weren't for Leslie and her insatiable will to help others, I wouldn't be here doing what I do, it's because of her that I am.

Memorial services were this past friday. And more public ones will likely be after the first of the year. I will likely be making the trip. when I get more details I will let all know.

I'm just crushed right now. I've known Les for a couple of years, but we had a stong friendship, and she helped me in so many ways. And yet, when you talked to her, she was the type of person who wouldn't let on how bad she felt, she was more concerned about you, and how you were feeling. She had a long hard fight. She was very sick. She is in peace now, and that's what I have to take hold of.

I know I have some pm's waiting right now, I will try to get you tomorrow . My head is spinning and I can't think straight.

I just feel aweful because I haven't been on my computer much this past week, haven't checked emails, pm's, I've just been down for the count. I wish I would have forced myself to check everything sooner. Sometimes having kids takes over your life. I just had to do what I could to get thru each day, and crash at night. I'm kicking myself, I wish I would have checked my messages.

That's so sad to hear. I'm so sorry for everyone who knew her and was close to her. I'm sorry, Jaime...
Just because it's impossible doesn't mean it can't happen.

I'm not a doc, so anything I say is my opinion only. Nothing I say is meant as offense, I offer what I can as help.

I believe in educating myself on all my medical issues and being my own advocate, for no one else with do that on my behalf. I recommend we all do the same!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Perhaps I truly am insane for expecting these docs to listen to me when I say the same things repeatedly to no avail? LOL. I am tired of seeking out new docs and getting the same result time and again...Forgive me if I seem bitter some days.
