MDJunction to me

"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

Haha, ah well, Julie, you know I had to try for one of your lucky footrubs!! My feet HURT *sticks bottom lip out*

I am so happy for you, hun, that you are getting what you deserve in a relationship.... to be treated like the queen to your king!

Ron, you nebulize your oils at night,... do you defuse during the day, too?

Ans, this question is for anybody & everybody who would like to chime in. I thought it would be neat to see what everyone has to say... like a survey question, of sorts. I know we use a variety of them and for many purposes, but I want to know what your very, very favorite essential oil is, not necessarily just medicinally, but it could aromatically, too, just your all the way around favorite... which one, if you could only ever use just one,.. which would you choose and why? If you have a toss-up and it's just too close to call, you can name two... or do like me, mine is one of the "blends" of several EOs mixed together, LOL

Mine is Thieves, which is a blend of some of my favorites. It's a blend of Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus and Rosemary. It's perfect, those are 5 of my favorite scents all rolled into one delightful blend, it's soothing & calming, plus it has antibacterial & antiseptic properties. It can be used as a germ killer, give your immune system a boost and aid in detoxification, and it smells heavenly!

Next?

I'm F.I.N.E.
Frustrated, Irritated, Nonfunctional & Everything hurts!!

Sarcasm: Embrace it!

Tahnee, I only use the nebulizer at night when i sleep, the mist from it is like pouring all over me the room really is loaded with the stuff.During the day i rub it on my skin pure strength ..i have no problems with reactions from it.My favorite? i will have to report on that one later i ordered lemon pine and cinnamon bark..long story..i have an American friend that receives my orders to her address,my oils arrived yesterday but the pine leaked out so i have to reorder that one.Right now out of all of the oils i like peppermint the best..its not as effective as Lavender they say but i just like the smell of it kinda like it agrees with me or something

Tahnee,

I absolutely couldn't live on just one. The thing for me is that I get migraines, and because of that, there are about 5 (peppermint, eucalyptus, geranium, marjoram, and lavendar) that help treat migraines, but it depends, each migraine may be different. Plus, I'm also a Wiccan. And we use many different oils in different ceremonies. I simply couldn't choose just one. However, as a scent that I just absolutely love, I'd say I'm very partial to both sage and lavendar for very different reasons, both of which I'd like to keep to myself, if you don't mind! LOL

However, that does bring me to a different point I meant to post for everyone's info as well. I wanted to mention that while I usually would say to be sure to get your oils either from a reputable distributor either online (medical supply or health food supply) or at a health foods store, like Jaime mentioned, I really recommend if you have a metaphysical store near you, you check it out. They often have some really good blends and a buttload of different brands. You can usually find some really good deals if you make friends with the people in the store, and you can usually get some good books on aromatherapy and such, too. I usually find better deals there than at the health food stores. The only places I might get a better deal is online, but after shipping, maybe not so much... You'd be surprised what you can find at a metaphysical store that's not necessarily so metaphysical nor so mysterious as you might think! Just a hint from the witch!

Just because it's impossible doesn't mean it can't happen.

I'm not a doc, so anything I say is my opinion only. Nothing I say is meant as offense, I offer what I can as help.

I believe in educating myself on all my medical issues and being my own advocate, for no one else with do that on my behalf. I recommend we all do the same!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Perhaps I truly am insane for expecting these docs to listen to me when I say the same things repeatedly to no avail? LOL. I am tired of seeking out new docs and getting the same result time and again...Forgive me if I seem bitter some days.

Yes he does an outstanding job on my feet... I would not say I am a "QUEEN" but almost...LOL LOL

I would die without my oils, I am betting a book today as I want to make and mix my own, looks pretty easy to do....

I had bad feet pain yesterday on the foot I broke TWICE and I put my epsom salt in the water with my lemom oil and lavender took the pain away....

I also take FRESH herbs from the store and put them into my water, I love Tyme in my bath water....And I also take tea bags and put them into my bath water....Tea bags work wonders if you have tooth pain, put them in warm water and apply to the tooth and bite down on them...

Lyme will not win, we will and we WILL…

I think us Lymies absolutely need antivirals not just abx, The natural protocol members here i think have an advantage because a lot of their supps are also antiviral such as Samento and essential oils are extremely antibacterial and antiviral. Please read the link below this could be why conventional abx is not having much success for chronic lymies

http://sci.tech-archive.net/Archive/sci.med.diseases.lyme/ 2004-06/0527.html

Here is a paste from another site that makes a lot of sense

We now have a new organism to do battle with; this "hybrid" called viteria (mixture of a virus and bacteria).

This viteria is suspected to be the involved in Lyme's disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Gulf War Syndrome, coronary artery disease, Alzheimer’s, and of course cancer. As Dr John Martin, MD, PhD states, "Genetically empowered bacteria, carrying potentially oncogenic [cancer causing] stealth-adapted viruses, could become a far more threatening biological weapons program than ever envisioned by our military planners." [www.ccid.com]

By itself, the stealth virus has been associated with depression, attention deficit and behavioral disorders in children, autism, schizophrenia, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, multiple sclerosis, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia (in adults) and neurodegenerative illnesses in the elderly. Stealth viruses can infect many organs, but the brain is especially prone to damage by them.

According to Dr Martin, stealth viruses can easily be mistaken in diagnostic tests for conventional viral and bacterial infections. However, in all cases of multiple myeloma that Dr Martin has tested he has discovered stealth viruses. His organization is pioneering the tests to uncover this particular virus, and since discovering them to be a factor in so many common illnesses, the question pops up, will we continue to treat the disorder conventionally while incorporating anti-stealth virus measures as an aside? Or, one day, will we just aim our therapies at the viral invasion directly, allowing the disorder to care for itself?

For example, we can continue to treat colds by treating the symptoms or we can attack the virus and the cold symptoms (coughing, congestion, sore throat, etc) will just go away as the virus is knocked out.

Of course, there are two things standing in the way of a treatment program aimed at the stealth virus itself. The first is the medical community, which must admit we’ve misdiagnosed all these disorders for the past thirty years or so, and the second is the pharmaceutical industry that has billions of dollars wrapped up in medications designed to treat all these disorders and stands to lose business if we change our practices.

Dr Martin’s protocol for treatment of stealth viruses still does hand a big chunk of business to the pharmaceutical industry, as he does recommend many of the current antivirals. However, his overall plan consists of everything we, as patients, can do, including supplementation and vitamins. He is currently requesting assistance in conducting clinical therapeutic studies using conventional medicine and orthomolecular medicine (clinicians using alternatives).

Until more is learned from these studies, he feels that a properly orchestrated immune system is the best way to beat this beast: first by helping to uncover them by thinning the blood (using garlic and enzymes as opposed to standard blood thinners), by creating an environment detrimental to viral replication, and boosting the immune system by promoting higher levels of interferon and interleukins while increasing NK Cell (natural killer) activity.
