MDJunction to me

Claire138"It's been a year since I joined the Parkinson's Disease Support Group on MDJunction and all I can say is thank you all for the support, compassion and friendship I've received and been able to give as well. It was a lonely night when I came upon this site, but the nights aren't that lonely anymore...
With gratitude to all...

Someone else asked this question, so I looked it up:

Page 237-240 in the Eat Right for Your Type book has antibiotics and vaccines by blood type. Probably not a complete list, but at least a start.

Says type B's (like me) and AB's should avoid quinalones... just came off Avelox, which is probably a good thing. That's the only warning for meds for these blood types, so all else seem to be ok.

O's are to avoid Biaxin and Zithromax, as well as Bactrim (sulfa drugs) and penicillin-class drugs.

A's do well on penicillin-class and sulfa drugs, and should take Erythromycin instead of Biaxin or Zithromax for macrolides.

Maybe this explains why I tolerate most meds fairly well, while others do not, since a lot of what I have taken are on the 'avoid' lists for other blood types.

That is intersting, My son is an A but he is very senstivie to sulfa, But I think it's becasue his liver is not detoxifying and he just can not handle it.

We have the same probelm with phenols, so he can not tolorate suppliments like grape seed etc.

Maybe he is having herx reations and we do not know it.
