Has anyone else experienced hot palms and hot soles? It drives me crazy.

I vaguely remember it happening once or twice before I found out about lyme, but since then it's been more frequent.

Sometimes if I run my hands under cold water, it seems to help.

I'm not in pain or anything, but it's just a funky feeling.

Also I would like to add, though it has nothing to do with the post, I am tired of people saying that all the lyme doctors are doing is stealing money from people.Devil

I hate that. No, they are trying to help us, where the mainstream medical world has failed us.

But I guess it just goes to show the ignorance that people have towards lyme.

haha sorry needed to get that off my chest.

Yes, I as well have the symptom of hot soles; as well as same sensation in the upper back. Also tested positive on IGM bands 41 & 23.

Oh I had this problem with hot hands and feet all my teenagedom. I've been ill since a small child. This problem was SO bad I used to stay awake all night just moving my feet around on the wall to find a cold spot.

Literally I would heat up the wall within a minute or so...so much so that you could touch it and feel it hot. This has come and gone as an adult. But yes...

With Him we "live" no matter the circumstances. At His feet peace of mind can be found. Peace that passes all understanding is my quest now and forever.

Wow, that is intersting. My son gets hot feet.... Did not know what it was. He kicks all night long.

Its really odd because his whole body will be cold as a pickle but his feet will be hot.

But maybe he feels cold because he keeps the blanket off, even when it is freezing in the house he kicks his blanket off.

I had this experience a few weeks ago. My hands felt like someone was holding them in a pot of boiling water the entire day. They turned fire engine red By night I could barely use them.

Feet werent as bad. After two days of pain, they started to itch horribly. Now the skin on my fingers and palms is peeling off... really gross. It's like they were actually burned!

I just kept putting them under cold water as often as possible. I hope you feel better!

Caran,

Bartonella is known for causing hot feet. I had this literally every afternoon before I treated Bart. It would feel like the bottoms of my feet were on fire. I would definitely have this coinfection checked.

Jackie, I am getting my coinfection test results next week. I am cusios to see if Bartonella is one of them. Do you still have Bart? Was it hard to treat?

Missy,

You never know if these infections are 100% gone...but I believe that I am dealing with Lyme now. I used to have pain in my feet, burning in my feet...that is all gone now...

My bloodwork for Bart is very negative- and it used to be positive. The only think that still keeps coming up positive is Lyme and I'm having more trouble getting rid of this it seems.

I think it really depends upon the bacterial load that you have of each. I was diagnosed about 6 months after my tickbite...and 4 months after symptoms started...

The burning feet sensations started at the end of January 09 for me and I was on abx within 2 weeks. Possibly I didn't have a large load of Bart if it did indeed clear quickly - 3 months of Rifampin.

Hope you and your family starts feeling better soon.

Jackie

OMG! I am so happy I came here to all you knowledgable people! I am making a list for the doc.

which lab is the best place to test for these co-infections? Does it matter as much as the lyme test to use a certain lab?
