Hey guys I don't know if this is allowed, but I'm sure someone will tell me and/or delete it if not.

A friend of mine who was diagnosed with breast cancer at 26 is very ill at the moment. This is what I've written on the facebook group I've set up for her.

Helping Carolyne is a group set up to help Carolyne Williams, a breast cancer survivor going through tough medical times, and rough financial times as well.

Carolyne has been a strong advocate for Breast Cancer Awareness, and also works very hard when she is not ill promoting Animal Rights and facilitating Animal Rescue.

Carolyne has a great big heart, and is happiest when she is helping others, but right now she is in need of some help herself.

Within the next couple of months, Carolyne will be having major surgery.

Her body seems to have an adverse reaction to her own hormones, and since that is the case she will need a full hysterectomy.

Carolyne has been unwell for quite some time with neurological symptoms, weight loss, low energy, and a slew of other debilitating symptoms that have left her unable to work and do the things she loves.

Her medical problems have led to financial problems and so Carolyne is humbly reaching out, and asking for help from her friends and the Breast Cancer Community.

On top of medical bills Carolyne is reeling from the stress of finding her four "Fur Babies" temporary homes while she recovers from her surgery and for a possible relocation away from L.A. in the near future.

She adores her pets, and the stress of temporarily housing them is weighing her down. However, if she were to have to permanently find new homes she would be heart broken.

Carolyne is in need of assistance.

We've set up a website for donations to help with medical bills and possible housing options for her pets, and this group is set up for friends and caring strangers alike to give encouragement and any pet care information they may have.

If you know of a place in the L.A. area where Carolyne might be able to temporarily house her pets or have any ideas we welcome them.

Thank you so much for coming to our little corner of the internet, and for your concern.

Carolyne is a sweet woman who cares very much for others, but right now its time we took care of her for a little bit!

Carolyne's website is:

I have no idea if you can list that or not, but I am curious about the pets.

Please list the pets: what kind, what breed, and ages please.

Thank you.

Best Wishes,

Hope :)

Thanks guys. I posted on the breast cancer page and I'm under investigation, some chick named carolyn is mad I'm "using her to sell something" and I'm appearantly under investigation . . . awesome.

My friend is sick. She needs help. I thought I might be able to spread the word a little thicker, but apparently the breast cancer forum would rather be superior.

One woman said "And asking for donations is something I'd NEVER do." That's great, but if you were about to be on your butt in the street I bet you'd sing a diff tune. sigh.

Carolyne has a Pit Bull and a Lab mix the website has pics and descriptions. Then she has two cute kitties. A yellow tiger kitty and a calico.

She's terrified she's going to lose them, and its so sad.

Animal lovers know how awful that feeling is. On top of how sick she is she just could use some help, you know?

Thanks for your interest. They're very sweet pets. Even the pit. lol

I'm so sorry about your friend. My heart breaks.

I also have BC, mine was also Hormone fed. At the moment I take "DIM" for it as I will not go on the Chemo pill.

I have two doggies, they are just like my kids, my heart breaks reading this....

I pray for her recovery in the journey of BC.

Thanks. That's exactly what I thought. I couldn't believe how vicious she was.

"Asking for donations is something I'd NEVER do." That's insane to say about a dreadfully ill woman who's been sick since she was 26.

She's never been able to work normally. Sometimes pride has to go out the window and people have to ask for help! I was so discouraged. Thanks for reading, and the kinds words guys!

broke up solid text into short paragraphs; please do this in future.

Hi Melanie,

I encourage you to continue helping your friend. There will always be lots of critics.

Actually, there was a benefit held in my area for a woman who has Lyme disease, it had a huge turnout and the monetary and emotional support was unbelievable.

It was also an opportunity for us to get the message out about Lyme Disease is in CanadaTongue . I was asked to speak and my speech has been affected by Lyme, I spoke for ten minutes without a stutter. Those who know me were in tears.

God works in mysterious ways.

Having a good friend like you is indeed good medicine in it's self but we will be praying also for your friend.

Good luck, Melanie

Nancy

I didn't tell her about what I was met with on here because she's already very upset she's in this kind of position. I wouldn't want her to know people were treating her little charity page as if she was some beggar. It's sad that was their first though. Bleh. Thanks though for your kind words Smile
