my dr has just started me on abx about 20 days now and I swear i feel like things are crawling sometimes.(not like an allergic reaction itch) but literally like there is some little bugs crawling here and there.Very random....one minute on my arm then my leg then chest and then to top it off I swear I see things every once in a while out of the corn of my eye like something crawled across the computer desk or the bed or the floor.

Am I going NUTS?

I dont take any other meds and I have NOOOO history of this issue ever.

Any one heard of such an effect. It has to be the abx I never had this before til the abx

I had this. I don't think it's the antibiotics themselves, but rather the antibiotics chasing the bugs out of the other tissues of our bodies where they have hidden themselves. It went away after awhile.

There is a disease called Morgellons disease. Many people with Morgellons disease end up finding out they have Lyme too.

I was scared this was what was happening to me, but like I said, it went away after awhile.

I always felt less itchy after a detox bath.

As you progress through recovery, your Lyme symptoms will vary to a certain degree. For example, I got tinnitus but only after I started treatment.

I also suggest reading about Herxheimer reactions, which can also cause an increase in symptoms.

Regarding what you are seeing, I suggest getting an eye exam to eliminate the possibility of any common problem.

If you go back to your very first post where you received a "Welcome" message there should be some links to vision problems associated with Lyme.

If not there check under Forums - Medicine and Treatments or Lyme Facts.

Before I got Lyme, I already knew I had deposits on my eye which would cause me to see things. But it did get worse with the Lyme.

Some people are able to actually see the spirochetes as they move through the eye. Yeesh!

None of us have ever had any of this before either.

No your not nuts...just normal for all the strange stuff Lyme does..

Morgallon's...my friend has that. In his case he was pulling out different color threads under his skin..as he put it...it was painful.

He found to let them do their own thing. He has found spraying Collodial Silver on those area's to help him.

I get rashes and bumps and strange things from the "Bart"..I rub the Silver on with a q-tip for the lack of getting a spray bottle..Smile

I find it to help.

Keep asking away, just give yourself time to absorb all the info,it is easy to get overwhelmed and don't worry...

we all will be here to "care and support".

Take your time Cool wlkthlne

Anything I post or respond to comes from a Lyme and Bart victim himself. I am NOT a doctor. I do my own research for ME...I may share my findings and will post them. They are for general talk and vent...If a group leader feels the info is worth saving somewhere, they are more than welcome to do with it as they like. Wlk=)

Morgellon's is the correct spelling in case you want to search for it.

Some say NO to colloidal silver with Morgellon's. Check it out before you take/use this.

Same thing happend to me while on Abx, I would like the Dr. know about this. I was told its a reaction to the drug that is under the skin. Try bendryl and if its stops the feeling then you need to stop the drug b-4 you get a full blown reaction.

I've heard others say that they get the crawlies when they are on bartonella treatment. If you start noticing scabs and other signs of bugs exiting through your skin, then it could be Morgellon's. Take a detox bath and see if you get relief, or if you see any bugs trying to exit. Some say that they actually see little worms start coming through their pores. Pretty icky, but best they get OUT rather than staying in!
