jaguar62"Here's a success story for you ,, there was this poor guy who all he ever did was work his butt off day in and day out, and would settle for no less than perfection which caused him to somewhat be an outcast among his peers.

But then people around him started to notice that failure wasn't an option and this guy could really get things moving in the direction they were supposed to go so when they had an issue they would hesitantly ask for assistance at first.

But as time went on more and more people started getting referred to him. Before you knew it he was recognized and he had a top executive job,Escalation Supervisor of the whole Eastern Coast of United States for a communications company was staying busy like he loved to do and helping people along the way and life was excellent, good salary and benefits ,loved going to work "everyday".

Then one day (it was a period of time ) it was over ...seemed like it disappeared in an instance (after being diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease at the age of 49) and it stayed that way forever it seemed and life was slowly deteriorating around him ..depressed , no motivation, no job, health issues getting progressively worse much faster than just Parkinson and then being told it has possibilities of being MSA (Multiple Systems Atrophy) well seeing as i wasn't working i started checking out sites online and just so happened on MDJunction and the Parkinsons Support Group and absolutely loved the forums and feed back from the GLs and found out it wasn't just poor me at all, it was lots of wonderful people who shared the same symptoms that i was and still am going thru every day but in a whole lot better more positive frame of mind . So after about a year of posting and reading the forums daily and meeting so many good people I knew i wanted to give back some of this well needed love that i had received , So I applied for a Group Leader Position and ...

I had a "new job" and its helping people as well as getting the necessary help I now require and I can do it 24 hrs a day if i want to ..HOW GOOD IS THAT .

THATS MY SUCCESS STORY/Testomonial
OH Yeah!I almost forgot the best part is the wonderful fellowship around the workplace,,

MDjunction has opened my eyes and offered me a new beginning to what was looking like a very dark end. thanks MDJ (and yes i do know where I would be without you.)

I am so new to all of this...

So I recently added zith to my ceftin and bang!!!

Im sick

It has been 2 weeks on and off with this cold like thing...

I ache, my tonsils swell, and today my nose started running badly...pouring right now...

I dont want to be one of those that blames everything on a herx but I would think on 1000mg of ceftin and 500 mg of zith It would be a little bit harder for me to catch something

Sure sounds like a herx...Makes sense, since you added the ceftin. We all get sicker before better because of the toxin overload.

Detox....detox....detox and hang in there.

Hi, I just looked at your profile and see your from TN too...

Nice to meet another TN Lymie.

Weird because I was told there is NO lyme in TN from the head of ID at Vanderbilt. Funny huh??...

Yeah I was told that in TN and in GA...Funny because im CDC positive!

I see you went the vandy route...Everyone that I know of has had a bad experience there.

I had to go far away to get a good llmd.

Ok, well im glad I finally know what a herx should feel like then. Now at least I have something to go by and I'll Start detox back up today.

PM me what part of TN you are in. I know of a great support group in chattanooga if you are interested.

Hopefully you can go fishing tomorrow....it's going to be a beautiful day. Wear your bug spray!!

I am just south of Nashville, so Chattanooga would be a bit of a drive for me. We have been there several times sightseeing and camping. It's beautiful there, I have been wanting to take our jetskis down there and ski the river. But I am not sure I can do all that just yet.

I went to Vandy because my Neuro couldn't get me in for 2 weeks and I thought my brains were going to come out of my eye, ears...etc. I was in so much pain, had 48 symptoms at the time... so he told me to go to the Vandy ER.

They said Lyme doesn't not exist in TN and if I hadn't crossed the state line I didn't have it. Even though we camped, fished hiked...etc...Lyme was not here..They did some labs and threw me in the MRI to check for MS....

That came back clean so they made me an appt. for a "wonderful" neuro at Vandy the next day. I felt so robbed that I canceled the appt and contacted www.turnthecorner.org and they found me a local LLMD...

Oh-ya, my 9 year old daughter is also CDC positive. And I have a good friend from Chatanooga that is also CDC pos.

Lyme and Vandy can kiss my butt...lol

Well it was time for me to change antibiotics.

I started Flagyl 250mg 3 x per day.

The exact same thing is happening.

I was better for a week or so and now it is back.

My tonsils swelled up and are VERY sore.

Muscles are aching and im gettiing joint pain this time.

My vision worsened and my neck is sore and stiff. Cognitive function is suffering.

I was at the top of the range on strep titers.

Could this be a strep herx or do I just keep reinfecting myself with a viral cold...

If this is a herx then the first time it took almost a month to herx on ceftin-zith.

I Guess my main question is can a herx cause tonsilitis and sinus problems?

Can you have a strep herx?

This took 5 days on flagyl at the max dose

Geez... you sound like I feel.

I never get just a cold - I always get sinus infections with it - but I've never had so much fatigue, muscle twitches, and head pressure, etc.

I'm convinced I'm herxing from both the Lyme and the sinus infection, so I'm increasing my detox too.

With all the pounding, I feel like a one-man band!

Tomorrow it will be one week since the first symptoms of this cold, and since I started the antibiotic. I keep telling myself tomorrow I will feel better.

I almost did today - until I had to blow my nose...

Oh, well. Maybe tomorrow.
