Tired of feeling this way....just need to vent....I just changed abx up again....and now dealing with burning sensation in my lymph nodes along with pressure feeling in bladder and abdomen. Feel like a ballon ready to pop. The constant burping is getting out of hand...but yet endscope shows no issues.....Has anyone else dealt with similar issues and been able to find something to relieve??

hello Rosebug,

I have been chasing my Lyme disease and trying to find out what was wrong with me for the longest time. I have noticed recently the pain I have been having for 3 yrs now under my left rib is still there . Also the bloating and puffiness in my stomach is new and I never used to have this. Sometimes I feel like its not as bloated and I cant really pinpoint when it happens. I did see a GI Dr and she wanted to have all different tests but I am done with all the testing for now.lol

I have had endoscopy/colonoscopy in the past and tests were negative and I am happy for that. The more time goes by symptoms come up and not sure why.I think I have stopped chasing all of my worries and think the Lyme does some funny things to us. I have been back and forth to the Drs and I think I am worn out like the rest of us.

I am now seeing LLMD Dr and I am on Biaxin and Planquenil for 6 months now . I have seen improvement but recently I started feeling blah again. I think it takes sometime for the meds to work and I have been dieting and exercising like the Dr told me to do.

Sometimes out of nowhere I have itchiness , dizziness, aches on my left side for sometime now, headaches, very tired, and just aches on my left side that seem to never want to go away.

The bloating is a terrible feeling and I feel like my stomach is huge but it also goes down a bit. If u feel worried about it u should schedule a GI appt. Good luck and I just wanted to share a lil bit of my story I hope this helps.

I belive the longer we have the Lyme the longer it takes to treat so alot of the symptoms we get is possibly caused by the Lyme. Alot of the times I ask Drs questions and they cant even give me the answers because they dont know either. Just make sure you have an LLMD Dr . I went long time going through all kinds of Drs and testing and I needed the correct medication to bring me back to normal.

take care Rosebug!

Hi Jano,

Thanks for your kind words. Yes, it's always a rollacoaster with Lyme. Been treating for 2 1/2 years now...and symptoms have come and gone...and come back with a venegance. Only to leave and be replaced with others.

I as well have seen many doc's since Jan 2008; had endoscope, colonoscopy and yes good news...all was well...unfortunately it doesn't shed light on the bladder and adnominal bloating...other than good ole Lyme.

I am currently seeing a infectious disease doc, well known in our area for treating lyme; and highly recommended by some members here as well. Probably moving onto IV treatment this fall; as I haven't seen much of a change these past months.

Rosebug - I had these exact same issues from October 2009 until January of this year and then briefly though not as bad in April. Constant burping, feeling like my food wouldn't digest, waking at night with lots of trapped gas in the lower bowel. It was awful. Went on forever without any help despite so many tests from the doctors.

I upped my probiotics to about 6 a day at one point and that did seem to help after a while. Have you tried switching your probiotics? Are you taking a refrigerated kind? That is the only advice I have. Bowel issues are the worst! I also had that pressure on the bladder too for a long time I had to go pee all the time.

I decided this problem was either a yeast overgrowth of the intestines or just lyme stuck in the stomach. Eventually it will move on, but its so hard to wait! Prayers for you from me!

Postive mono test when this all started.

I think I'm becoming an expert on bladder and urinary tract problems (and GI problems in general.)

I have some old posts up about the urinary tract and bladder if you can find them they would be good to read. You can do a search for them if you want.

Anyway, a couple of the best suggestions I got were to ice the area.

Both between the legs, all the way up as far as you can get the ice, and ice the bladder itself while laying on your back.

This helps ALOT! Numbs the area so you're not in so much pain or feeling pressure like you mentioned.

My pain was right above the pelvic bone and got worse from there, so that's where I put the ice.

Another great suggestion I got which I never dreamed would work is Marshmellow Root Tea.

You can do a Google search for it and buy it online. My health food store had it, but only as a blend with some other things so I placed the online order.

Nevertheless, even the blend helped tremendously! Sooths the bladder and makes you feel like you don't have to go as much.

Less pressure and feeling like a balloon.

Keep venting when you need to. You're in the right place!

Feel better.

Cindy

I have been feeling a sharp pain underneath my left rib cage too! I was worried that it might be diverticulitis, ovarian cyst, hernia, etc., etc., the possibilities are endless. I started on IV therapy the first of July, but after a week, had to be removed due to a blood clot in my arm! Very scary ..... had to be put on Coumadin, so I'm always wondering if a new symptom is also due to blood thinning meds.

As anyone heard that lyme causes "thick" blood? I have had lyme since 2004, but wasn't diagnosed until late 2007. In all my research, and seeing my LM, I haven't heard that lyme can cause one's blood to thicken ....... since my blot clot issues, I've been doing more research, and have just now discovered that lyme can cause thick blood, that's why it's so hard for any treatment to work ....... it's hard to get through ....... so, maybe ........ the blood clot was a God send, and my blood will thin out and both my conventional treatment (Ceftin), and herbal (cat's claw) will start to work better than previous treatments.

Thoughts?
