hi nick Smile

you are POSITIVE for lyme! print off dr. c's western blot explanation of igm/igg shown in my welcome letter below; read what is behind each of the numbers that are POSITIVE & INDETERMINED meaning they saw SOMETHING but can't say yes or no.

IND is considered POSITIVE! GET COPIED OF both your igm and igg; it will show if it meets igenex's definition of being positive or negative for each plus cdc's strict guidelines.

if igenex shows POSITIVE; you are.

IF CCDC SAYS NEGATIVE, you will NOT be counted in the lyme statistics for your state ok.

Betty’s suggested posting guidelines:

Many of members have neuro lyme, and it is hard to read long solid block text and be able to comprehend; example, me, 40 yrs. neuro chronic lyme, so we are able to comprehend and read. Then we can assist and guide you ok.

please post in short paragraphs like you see below or look at a few other posts, but we neuro folks need them short.

1-2 sentences MAX and hit ENTER TWICE to doublespace between each paragraph. Hugs

DO NOT BREAK UP THE SENTENCE THOUGH…we neuros lose our train of thought if it is broken up in the middle unless it goes on FOREVER!

For easier reading, please edit your post. You can break up your longer paragraphs into smaller paragraphs. Please hit “enter” key twice after each paragraph, also. Click EDIT send when done. 

Go to LOWER BOTTOM MIDDLE; SUBSCRIBE TO THIS DISCUSSION to receive all replies.

Thank you for posting in a manner that makes it easier for all to read and help others.

i also agree with christine, if this llmd says it's NEGATIVE; go elsewhere.

please send me a PRIVATE MESSAGE, shown below my name, giving the llmd's full name, city/state ... i will check it against my nationwide llmd list that i send those names for those states to members ok.

Well, I saw two LLMDs. The first just tested for CD57 locally and since mine was 100, she told me that I did not have lyme. Was not convinced that just that could rule out lyme. The second LLMD requested the IgeneX test and just saw "negative" on the report w/o looking at the bands or recommending retesting. He said, you don't have lyme see you in 6 months. Symptoms are still there after months of being very sick and no Dr so far was able to find a diagnosis. Perhaps I need a new, proven, LLMD...

Hi nick,

Shoot me a pm and let me know what part of jersey your in.

Do you have copies of your test results? If so post them so we can see. I think u might need someone more lyme literate.

What are your symptoms? Lyme is a clinical diagnosis.

I agree with all of the above. New Lyme doc!

As far as the CD57 test goes, not everyone will have a low number. Even really healthy people could be on the lower end.

However, if it is low and they suspect Lyme, it could be a useful tool to see if you are getting better. If it's not low, they can't use it, but that doesn't mean you do not have Lyme. It just means that certain test can't be used for you to monitor your recovery.
