I would remind them again and again about the tick bite....

When I see my doctor and he will ask "are you stressed" I always say to him "Do you get stressed at times" we are human, we all get stressed, stress does not cause this kind of pain....

Is it lyme, I can't answer that I don't think anyone can here, but I would find a doctor and tell him your story about the tick and that you started feeling awful soon after...

Hello,

If the Dr.s will only diagnois you with a blood test, use either Igenex or Immunoscience labs. These are tests that you will have to pay for but hopefully get reimbursed. It is worth it because the regular labs are often false negatives.

It is much better to get a Dr. to diagnois you off of your sypmtoms but that is difficult to find. I would arm yourself with as much info that you can to bring to the Dr.s and see if they will listen. I had to educate my ID Dr. This still fascinates me, an INFECTIOUS disease Dr. did'nt know jack about the fastest growing vector bourne INFECTIOUS disease in

the U.S.

Good luck and take care,

Denise

coleygirl,

I know the resources WA State (where I live, too!) has and would be happy to share some information about getting to a "Lyme Literate" doctor in the Seattle area off-group.

My doctor went off of how I felt, then I ask about sending my blood into Igenex which we did, came back positive, but I truly believe 99% of people came back positive from there....But if you have the $$ go for it...My insurance gave me back 80% of the 1080.00 I spent...

Why do you say 99% came back positive? Do you think it is not accurate?
