I'm an Advocate

Oy... I think I need to go back to bed. Perhaps it's all just been a bad dream? You, thost55...Where do you people find this stuff? Really? I always thought I had a pretty level head, but this honestly makes me sick.
Just because it's impossible doesn't mean it can't happen.

I'm not a doc, so anything I say is my opinion only. Nothing I say is meant as offense, I offer what I can as help. I believe in educating myself on all my medical issues and being my own advocate, for no one else with do that on my behalf. I recommend we all do the same!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Perhaps I truly am insane for expecting these docs to listen to me when I say the same things repeatedly to no avail? LOL. I am tired of seeking out new docs and getting the same result time and again...Forgive me if I seem bitter some days.

The magazine it's from is rather, less than reliable. Is there anything it didn't cause??? I don't mean to be a smart alec, but this kind of stuff just detracts from more important lyme issues. IMO only.

True, I really think we just can not believe what is written anywhere unless we do our research.Just scary stuff and welcomed opinions from other members. Now i read somewhere that ticks are even active in the winter time..are we supposed to believe that? Smile

There are tons of things out there about many germs and diseases that are used for nefarious purposes...and I don't doubt any of it for a moment.

Governments/countries will look in to whatever gives them a leg up on the competition...other governments/countries.

There is probably a lot of things we just don't want to know about, and by all rights shouldn't know about. In some cases, blissful ignorance can be a blessing.

There was a line from the movie, Men in Black, where Will Smith's character implies that people are smart, and could handle the thought of aliens living among them. The response from Tommy Lee Jones' character was right on the money..."A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it.".

Which is my point. I have no doubt that experiments have been done on any number of dangerous diseases. The fact that I have an infectious disease doesn't change this fact...and I don't care.

I only want to get well.

Sensationalist literature on the subject of government testing is just a reason for some people to get scared and shut themselves out of living life.

If you can read it and handle it, that's great, it can be exciting stuff. But if it bothers you, stay away from it and take care of yourself.

Tom

Buckron,

Depending on where you live, you better believe that yes, ticks CAN be active in the winter time. In GA, we don't get much of a winter. We may never even get a good frost. So...yes, we can and might just see ticks, fleas, mosquitoes, etc, all year round... In moderate, temperate climates, I'd completely believe that one, yes.

FYI, FWIW,

Jen

In Bruhner's book "Healing Lyme" he says that a tick can live up to five years without a blood meal! And if a winter is particularly mild or there aren't many winter freezes, ticks will come out and feed during the winter months, such as we have here in Texas and in the south. Always be on the lookout for ticks and protect yourself.

Winters are brutal here same latitude as northern Maine,-20f -30f can happen easily here with tons of snow,Maybe that will keep those nasty critters at bay?Sure would be nice to get a break,I am in dense bush today getting a tree out and kinda have tick phobia.

Buckron send us some of those cold winters, we need them here in Texas to kill off the nasty insects that we don't need around!
