Is 2000mg of Amoxicillin too much?

My llmd prescribed me 500mg of amoxicillin and take 2 pills 2 times a day..

Is it too much or it's a normal standard for lyme

My LLMD has me on 1000MG amoxicillin THREE times daily, so no its not too much.

I have had no negative side effects from this, and my digestive system has had no problems while being on this.

I have heard of people taking 4,000MG of amoxy a day, so dont worry.

Lyme Igenex Test Results:

Western Blot IgM; Positive; Bands 31 (+), 41 (+),45 (IND), 66 (+)

Western Blot IgG; Positive; Bands 31 (IND), 34 (+), 41 (++), 83 (+)

Before they changed the pre-med guidelines for MVP,and heart murmurs , we always did 2000 mg.

Whats inportant is how much stays in your blood level and they try to keep this consistant.

Yeah, I have no idea how long amoxy stays in the blood stream? I try to take mine every day at 1 p.m. 7 p.m. and 1 a.m. before bed.

Seems to be helping me though.
