MDJunction to me

grandmasylvia"MDJ has been "a soft place to fall" for me as Dr Phil says. I have this very painful rare disease Dercum's Disease and take comfort in finding others here who share their knowledge and compassion. Many
members have helped me just by understanding my anguish and validating
my pain. We are working together to encourage research toward a cure.

Well, I know it really helps a lot of people, but for me it was a nightmare. It caused a lot of WIERD and SCARY side effects..tingling in the back of the head, tingling down both arms and a cold sensation..

I ended up in Urgent Care because I thought I was having a stroke or something. I asked the DR if it could be caused by Zoloft and she said, "no". But, with me knowing that some drugs have side effects not listed on the label, I stopped it and when it cleared my system, all those symptoms went away.

I've tried two antidepressants and they both were horrible but some do well on them.

For anxiety, I prefer Min Chex and Min Tran by Standard Process and 5 HTP.

I took it years ago Julz - as a young adult...didn't have wacky side effects - it was what brought me from just depressed to Happily Depressed...

Zoloft, aka my chill pill, did wonders to reduce anxiety and panic symptoms caused by Lyme and (likely) Bartonella.

I was told to cut it in half and start with 25mgs. But after reading how its hard to get off it, I'm scared to try it, but WILL....They said it really helps with the hot flashes I am getting since cutting down my hrt, which I hate to stop soon...I hate the thought of getting off my HRT and being thrown right into the "CHANGE OF LIFE"...BUt my BC loves my HRT...Sad

I only paid $5.00 for thirty...Not bad...

If you're only taking it for hot flashes, there are lots of natural stuff out there that can help with that. There are also doctor's that can put you on natural hormone replacement. Check out Suzanne Somer's book.. The one with the blue cover. It's terrific!
