I posted something about this already I think, but have been thinking, are the herxes so bad from babesia and mepron because it is actually a drug interaction or reaction, or are the herxes from babs just different? I get shakey, weak, super dizzy, faint, exhausted so bad that I can't walk, bad headaches, flu like symptoms. My dad thinks it is just the mepron making me sick, but I am hoping it is the babs dying.....so confusing!

thank you

Thanks for just reminding me to take my bright yellow rubber cement this morning. I haven't had as rough of a time as you. Here's what I've experienced.

I always flare around my period and on the mepron last month (first round) I had lots of night sweats and definite temperature regulation issues. I would get chills and shake, then sweat etc. No documented fever, though.

Joints and bones hurt a lot (so what's new) and I've become listless and extremely fatigued. I had one severe headache that drove me to the hospital for painkillers but LLMD warned that this was common.

He also warned me about rashes and allergy-like side effects that weren't true allergies. It's also made me depressed which I'm sure the endless pain contributes to.

Cognitive functioning is way down as well which is probably some of the Lyme and some of the mepron, combined with no sleep and poor appetite (Mepron has also taken away my appetite.)

In short, I'm pretty much a pathetic mess who is too tired to play w/ her kids but I have one more week so I can hold out. I definitely feel that Mepron causes a lot of direct side-effects that are unrelated to the Babesia but I'm not sure I'll ever know which is which.

I'll pretty much drink gasoline if it will make all of this go away.

Wishing our bodies would just wave a colored flag for each type of reaction so we wouldn't have to keep guessing. Yellow for herx. Red for reaction. Black for not enough detox. Green for being on the right track.
