It happens both ways...

For some, if infected while their immune systems are strong, their bodies are able to manage the infection...forcing it into dormancy...typically what happens once symptoms begin, weeks, months or even years later...is that there is some sort of trauma or shock to the immune system...accident, extreme stress...something will trigger it into activity...

For others, their immune systems are either normally weaker or already stressed due to a variety of reasons, and the infection launches attack...

Lyme is a highly opportunistic disease...it seems to have the ability to sense when conditions are best for its ultimate survival and do what it must in order to survive...

A lot of it has to do with Genetics I think - and our Immune systems...

If we are genetically predisposed to certain things - making us weaker - then we get attacked...if our immune systems are not naturally as strong as they need to be...well it gets us...

See my mom passed this to my younger siblings - she had also had them immunized...and her high levels of mercury were passed to my brother. He has Lyme Induced Autism...the other two have learning disabilities...

Immunizations as such young ages as the recommend, can actually weaken certain systems - like the digestive system...and that leads to a whole host of issues...

We chose NOT to immunize our 4 - unless it was necessary - and not before they were a year old...and when we did the docs were amazed by their reactions (only did DTaP) because they were the reactions that they should have had - and not many kids react that way any more...it was a sure sign that their immune systems saw what was their - and was producing anti-bodies properly...

As a whole, we have done a lot over the last century that has compromised us - temporarily making improvements to our lives - but over the long haul, we now as a race suffer from more diseases and medical conditions and syndromes then ever before...and we have brought that on ourselves...

Eventually ingesting and injecting so many synthetic things is going to break us down...
