MDJunction to me

jpcrps"When I found MD Junction, I was in the beginning stages of RSD/CRPS. I was scared, lacked knowledge about the condition, and felt very alone.

MD Junction changed all of that for me. I found friendship and terrific information from people who had first-hand knowledge of this syndrome. It was and still is a big part of my life.

MDJ was my first step on the journey of grief; from denial to acceptance. I am now inspired to help others by sharing this amazing site and sharing my own experiences. I am very impressed that one forum site can provide hope and inspiration to people suffering from so many different conditions. I am proud to be a part of this community.

only recently have i got these weird headache kinda things. im not even sure how to describe them. when i have them i feel like my head is going to explode its like my brain has alot of pressure on it and i wanna crack it open and dump it out.

when i get this feeling i also feel like i have a fever though i dont really feel that hot and the rest of my body is cold when i took it i had a 99 fever that lasted like a week and it went up to 102 one of the days. last time it was ever that high i had pneumonia because normally my temp is like 95.6 so i got a little concerned.

i also get this weird migrating pain lately it migrates around my brain and too the bak of my neck its like a pulsing stabbing pain that fades in and fades out and as it fades out it migrates somewhere else in my head.

my neck has also been getting really stiff and painful and cracks almost all the time. my wrists crack and hurt and so do alot of my other joints.

last time i had head pains was in like 2006-2007. i saw a neurologist had cat scan and MRI and they found nothing. it went away and its only come bak recently in 2010. im not sure y. i wanted to know if anyone has or knows anything about this strange symptom.

im also losing alot of weight find it hard to eat, and forgetting alot of things lately and the symptoms i have had are getting worse like sensitivity to light, sound and sometimes smell.

i saw a cardiologist lyme specialist who has sent me to get my blood tested this sat and if she said the test comes up negative agein she would send it off to igenix but if that also comes up negative she wont know where to go from there.

what do u think i should do? what do u think is going on? this is like the only test ive actually prayed to come up positive because i want to get better i need medicine or something and they wont give me anything until i get a positive test. if igenix comes up negative could i still have lyme what should i do?

I saw someone else post that their lyme test came back negative from igenex but positive for babesia I think.

So it is possible to have one of the co infections without lyme evidently.

I don't have an answer for you but I have the same kind of stuff going on. I started getting zappy sudden headaches after starting antibiotics. I've had a crackly neck for years. I've heard a lot of Lyme patients do.

The worst of my pain is my neck and shoulder. That's where it starts and if I get real bad it just radiates out from there.

I too have lost a lot of weight in 6 months and often feel like I'm running a fever but usualy I'm not. I have a low normal body temperature too - common with Lyme (and thyroid probs).

Hope you can get some help and relief soon.

Hi, sorry to hear about your symptoms.

I just tested positive for lyme and I have many of the same symptoms as you - feeling like I have a fever, cracking joints, head ache pressure, hard time concentrating, easy time forgetting, light/sound sensitive, weight loss...

I talked to my doctor today (we are waiting on some other tests to see if he can tell what stage of lyme I am in before he starts antibiotic treatment...)

Any way he recommended that I read two websites:

http://www.ilads.org

and

http://www.lymedisease.org

Here is something interesting I found on:

http://www.lymedisease.org/lyme101/lyme_disease/ lyme_diagnosis.html

Diagnosis is clinical and is based primarily on recognition of the typical symptoms of Lyme disease in a person who lives in a high-risk area.

Doctors like to have hard evidence to back up their opinions, but testing is not an exact science: the tests for Lyme disease may sometimes be negative in cases where disease is actually present, and false positive tests, though less common, are also possible.

Therefore, experienced doctors recommend that Lyme disease be diagnosed clinically, meaning they base the diagnosis on an evaluation of your risk and your symptoms.

There is some information on those sites about co-infections.
