As so many of us are super intune with our bodies, here is another weird one.....i have a bizarre place for a "more bothersome than anything" pain in which i am too afraid to bother a doctor with. (Sad, isn't it?).

The backside/side of my leg really bothers me like a little pulsating pain. Very similar to the one in my bicep at the beginning of lyme. I FEEL like if it were a blood clot that is what it would feel like....but could it be just another place my bugs were hiding and are now dying off with my new med and detox?

FREAKING out as usual!

Thanks!

Beth

beth,

here's what my home nurse taught me after getting home from hospital after my left leg hip replacement.

something definitely was wrong with my knee to my foot area.

she came late at night, 1st time to see me BTW, and checked this out for a blot clot.

she said for me to have my foot straight out, then PUSH MY TOES IN, if there is significant pain on back side of leg; IT'S A BLOOD CLOT.

try this out on both feet to feel the difference ok.

yes, i had a blood clot; they tried using an ultrasound on me by pushing in my groin area going down my leg.

TOLD THEM TOO STOP; TOO PAINFUL! felt like they were breaking every bone going down. did i know how serious this way.

you betcha, my FIL died from a blood clot going from his leg to heart after a RR train accident before we got married.

OMG, I have this same type of pain in the back of my leg. I know it is not a clot, but it often hurts in such a pinpoint location that I convince myself it MUST be a clot! LOL

I hope this isn't a clot, and you should do Betty's test, but I have experienced the same thing! Hope you are feeling better! Wink

I was checked for blood clots at one point as well. Diagnosis: superficial phlebitis (e.g. blood vessels that were close to the skin had some inflammation).

It can also be muscle & nerve inflammation from the bacteria.

I'm so glad you don't have blood clots. I have a couple friends that got them from oral contraceptives Smile

I am SO glad I saw this!! I have localized pain in the back of my right leg that hurts whenever I stretch or strain for something. It feels like a ball inside my leg. I went to the ER several months ago and they had no idea what it was. Went to the doctor and they said it was a vericose vein but I'm not sure about that since I can't see anything.

I thought FOR SURE it was blood clot or a cyst or maybe even a tumor or something because it sometimes hurts that bad. I sure wish doctors would take us more seriously!
