for about 2 months now, maybe longer, i have been having really bad stomach pain. my naturapath has thought it to be an ulcer, celiac, even a hetial hernia but its still gone un-diagnosed. so far my symptoms are always worse in the morning.

its bad enough with the pain all over my body, the weakness, not being able to move, but if i even try to get up theres a 3 out of 4 chance i will end up throwing up. It started out just haveing the stomach pain and sometimes abdominal pain, tender to touch and sometimes i'd get bloated.

then, i'd get nausea but not around the same time i would get the stomach pain. now its got to the point when i get nauseous its very random and i will feel often dizzy and weak.

its hard to stand or get through the day. recently i haven't been able to go to school cuz of my lyme issue and my vomiting. i will vomit most of the time in the morning but i have had it in the middle of the night too and rarly random times in the day.

at first i thought i was just vomiting from flem from getting over a flu but then it went to vomiting up many things i ate. im also sensitive from just drinking water my stomach will hurt and i will get nauseous and start to through up as clear water.

could any of this be related to lyme or is it something else? so far idk what to do and doctors are puzzled. if any of you have any idea please help me so i can get better faster, im already in danger of not graduateing now that im a senior, and ive missed so much school.

Idk if this would help but i do know i have very low cortisol. but idk if that has anything to do with it either.

I am so sorry to hear about your story. In fact, it sounds nearly identical to mine. It turns out I was born with lyme, but it didn't really get to this point until this past august. I was a senior bio major and it was the first day of the semester, fall 2009.

I went out to catch the bus from my condo to class. I was standing there waiting, and all of a sudden, I got super weak and then started vomiting. I had been sick all summer before that, but we thought it was only my gallbladder.

I had to go home and withdraw from school a couple of days later, with only 3 semesters left to go (it was already my 5th year of college).

I was diagnosed with lyme in October 2009.

I really hope you can get this under control and find out if lyme is the culprit. If you do have lyme, it also sounds like you might have coinfection(s). There are also other possible causes for your problems, but I would see a LLMD to find out. I would also recommend blood testing through IGeneX labs in Palo Alto, CA.

Good luck with everything. I really hope you can get it figured out!

Have you gotten an abdominal CT?? An endoscopy is something else you should ask about; you can also take a small camera pill to see what is going on. You also may need a colonoscopy if the other tests have revealed nothing. Stop eating gluten and wheat for the time being (including oats). Go to a Gastroenterologist. They should be able to help get you some answers.

Even if it is caused by Lyme Disease, GI issues can usually be treated. Ask your physician about these options.

maybe I should mention that I did have my gallbladder removed in december, and the vomiting has decreased, but not disappeared...

the advice from amanda is good...I DID see a GI doc and didn't really get anywhere. Had a normal colonoscopy, but she didn't want to do an endo (although I asked for it)...Pretty much all I got from the GI doc was an IBS diagnosis. But, of course, I have lyme for sure....so I am not surprised nothing showed up on any of those tests.

Good luck to you!

ya ive thought to have lyme cuz i was bitten by a tick when i was like 7 or 9 and had the bulls eye rash but the doctor never treated me. every since that day ive been sick with multiple problems from just a bad immune system, asthma, pneumonia, body pain, fatigue, weakness, fainting, and now this stomach problem.

one of my doctors wanted to send me for an endoscopy but my parents didn't want to send me, for idk what reason the money or just not believing anything is wrong with me. its hard cuz i have enough problems with doctors but its been so long a problem that i can see even my parents are starting to doubt me.

but who could fake this and who would for so long. i wish they were more supportive so i could figure out whats going on and get it fixed so i can actually do things. im worried enough about school. if i don't graduate i will have to be sent bak to my old school (which i had a really bad experience with), my parents don't want to try to home school me, and then i'd only have night school as an option and if i wanted to go to a college i don't think that would look to good :/.

im also worried because if i can't go to school then i'd also have to worry bout working. i am only able to work 1 day a week and even sometimes i can't make it to that. i have a bunch of appointments to see lyme specialists, endocrinologists, cardiologists, and rheumotologists (agein), but idk what else to do. then my parents treat me like being sick is my fault.

they tell me im not pushing myself hard enough to do things but im trying so hard they just don't seem to understand how much it takes out of u.

I would suggest showing your family the documentary, "Under Our Skin." I know it will open their eyes about things, but I have been unsuccessful as of yet to get my own family to watch it. So, good luck. Your family sounds a lot like mine in that they don't really give a damn.

Stay strong and do what you can. It is a rough situation, but you have to persevere for yourself and your sanity. I know it will be tough, but you CAN do it!!!

Good luck with everything. I know it all seems overwhelming right now (I am in the SAME boat with uncertainty), but you will be amazed at how strong you will find out you are! I know I have been...

*hugs*

Both of my western blots came back negative, with only band 41 showing up as indeterminate. However, I am igenex positive on the titer, but am CDC negative all around.

My first 2 lyme tests were both totally negative, but I took a couple weeks of doxy, and then it finally showed up. Guess the abx made the bacteria come out to play..LOL

There are so many testing inaccuracies with lyme. Even the CDC states that lyme is a clinical diagnosis, and laboratory tests should only confirm a clinical dx.

Good luck to you!

YAY! I hope they will watch it with you...bring some tissues...the first time I watched it, I had just been diagnosed, and it really hit close to home...and lymies can get quite emotional...
