Hi everyone. I havent done an introduction yet becuase I am still in the process of finding out if I have Lymes.

About 5 weeks ago I had the stomach flu...horrible body aches, chills all day and night, rib pain, strange vision and dizziness. After lasting about 2 weeks I knew it wasnt a stomach flu. SInce then I have researched and talked to quite a few people that have mentioned LYmes,

I have a friend that will have it forever and three others that thankfully were cured in early stages.

I am scared...I am rarely sick and literally feel like a bus has run me over every single day.

Last week I got in with my dr and told them everything. They tested for Lymes and I begged them to find the test panel for the co-infections. They couldnt find that one til Friday and told me to come back in to give more blood and they would send that in too. THey also tested for Mono, etc.

I have read through a lot of your stories and want to commend you for your strength. So many of you are in pain and trying so hard to continue living your life, staying positive.

Not that I want it to be Lyme, but the scariest part of all of this is not knowing. Once you know what is going on you can do what you have to do...ya know??

Any advice would be great...I live in Ga and have no idea where there are specialists if and when I need them.

I am afraid that these tests, like I am reading, may not be accurate..and if they tell me its negative, it may still be lYmes. Then again, if it's positive, are they going to treat me with what I need and for

everything they need to so it is cured.

I'm sorry to sound so frantic..I know anxiety does not help how I feel. I have lost my little sister and just recently my mom in a short period of time. I guess deep inside I wait for the next ball to drop and I don't want to feel like that. I want to just play with my kids and be happy..and not worry.

THanks for letting me vent. The dr said I will get some results back Monday...if you don't mind, keep me in your prayers.

Thanks again.

Hey...thanks for sharing. I will keep you in my prayers. I also live in GA and also am not positive for Lyme although I and my dr. think I have it. Where in GA are you? I'm in Atlanta and can tell you of a couple docs here.

Check out this link to give you a better idea of symptoms. www.lymediseaseaction.org.uk/symptoms.php

Take care...hang in there.

Hi,

This is the first time I have posted yet as well.

I know exactly how you feel. I live in GA also and I am also waiting for my second lyme test to come back.

I have 2 small daughters adopted from China who are my whole life. I have felt so guily when I feel sick and can't play as much with them.

In regards to your post I am scared more that my second test will come back negative because of all the inaccuracies I have heard regarding testing for Lyme.

I have been to soooo many doctors since this whole thing started and was only recently tested for Lyme.

It is had not knowing and how and if it will be treated. This site seems so informative and everyone here has already been so nice. I didn't know where to go for information. A few people here have pm'd me about a LLMD in Georgia. I am calling him on Monday when I get my tests back- whether positive or negative.

I will pray for you.

Heather

Good luck and take care, Denise
