I am finding many doctors will not treat children under 8 years old. I am going crazy with this stuff now.

I feel like I am getting the run-around. I am watching Youtube on this disease, and I am getting so depressed. As a mom, i just wnat to kill this bacteria fast, while the doctors are delaying all testing, retesting, and dragging their feet about everything.

Anyone have children or have been in this situation before and had a dr who saw the kid before age 8? I am so dpressed at this point.

I am in NJ. I can see a dr in NJ or NY or PA.

thanks

There's a doctor here I believe will treat kids and I believe will consult with a local doctor by phone. If you want the information I can try to get it to you I think you only need an evaluation by her first.

This is her website and I checked again to make sure and she is a board certified Pediatric physician as well as LLMD and even treats chronic infections. You have to pay upfront for the visit which is expensive but they have a special package if your out of town which I believe includes accommodations. I have not seen her myself but was referred to her site by another Lyme literate doc and have heard good things about her and treating children as well as adults. Hope this helps.

You guys might want to just pm doctor's info to each other - putting their info on these boards can put them 'on the radar'. Many good LLMD's have lost their practices after being publicized. It's very sad! They are trying to do good things but they end up in trouble.

I have talked to doctors in the past from out-of-state that agreed to work with me by phone - if I had a local doctor that would work 'under them'. It's an idea....
