"Lyme Awareness" (karazon)

MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

I have my 1st appointment with a (MILITARY FLIGHT SURGEON)doctor next week to convince him as to why I have lyme. I will give him my list of 20-30 symptoms and my family's medical records (4 of 4 diagnosed with Lyme)to start. I have a Lyme specialist lined up in Seattle to see at the end of the month. I know it's going to be expensive and have to pay a lot out of pocket to go to the good docs, but does anybody have any insight as to getting the military to pay for the correct testing? My family has 16 strands of Lyme and numerous other viruses. I need to have as many tests done as possible, but really don't want to drop a few thousand if I don't have to. I am active duty on flight stats. That gives me a little leverage with the military docs, but there clueless. I just need insite into getting the most out of them. Thanks Guys,

Luke

That's progress. I have no experience with the military, my ins. won't reimburse for my Igenex tests. Only advice I have is to bombard everybody you can with every piece of info you can.

Good luck to you and your family.

Ann

I haven't really dealt with military either but you can ask if they have a Lyme policy. Most insurances have one and tells what they cover and under what circumstances and basically what you need for them to pay. Good luck!

Smee: No... lightning has just struck my brain.
Captain Hook: Well, that must hurt.

You can contact a member on here named Hambolio - he just experienced some issues with the Air Force and his Lyme.

I'm sure he'll be along shortly!
