I know that this was discussed some time ago in the Fibro support group, but I want to ask it again. I would like to know which you think is better, in your opinions: Lyrica or Neurontin? Has anyone tried both, and what are your conclusions? Has anyone tried Gabatron and what do you think of that?

Thanks!

In my experience Lyrica is the better of all of them but the hartdest to get covered by insurance. Neurontin didn't help may pain much and made me extremly tired. The lyrica gives my energy and coveres more pain symptoms than anything else I've tried. I've recommended it to several people and they have all had the same experience.

wow, I have never heard such good things about lyrica, I just asked for neurontin a few months ago....i'm on such a low dose, it hasn't made a difference, it's taking my doctor forever to increase dosage...maybe I'll ask to switch to lyrica. I take pain meds that dont even help my pain sometimes it's so bad, and you're saying the lyrica heps a lot.... I have hope!
Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Definatly try the Lyrica there like night and day the difference, you won't be able to believe it. If your lucky enough like me and my mother in law it will give you an energy boost to. Usually only takes 1 or 2 to notice a difference!!!
