Every once in awhile, I experience the paralysis in the morning. I have trouble waking up and can't move my head, arms, legs, etc. I can't speak, either. It takes a couple of hours before I can start to move. It scares me a lot, especially when I am alone.

I've mentioned it to doctors who just shrug, because I've got so many symptoms they don't understand. They probably don't believe me.

Once, I was at a hotel with my daughter who was 8 at the time. It was a weekday and there was only a few people staying at this place, which was located off a toll road and was in the middle of many other hotels. I had been trying to move since 9am when the alarm went off. At 11am, the cleaners were knocking and yelling, the phone kept ringing...and I couldn't move. Around noon, my head started clearing and I could start moving. The cleaners were okay and very helpful, but the woman at the front desk was horrible. She just kept yelling about how my staying past the checkout time was costing them a lot of money, etc. I explained what happened but it didn't matter.

Anyway, I don't know if this helps. It sounds like what you are experiencing is similar to what happens to me, but I don't know why it occurs.
