"Lyme Awareness" (karazon)

MDJunction to me

"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (bunnyfly)

This post is from Savvy on another site~ Day 1

Yep! It's true! I am home!! I got out of ICU yesterday evening and moved to a regular room and then got sent home today........I am not really ready to rehash the entire ordeal but I promise the story is coming soon as Tony really was a mess and didn't quite tell you all what exactly happened. I want to take a second to thank every single one of you that took the time to send a messege or call to check on me and let me know your love was with me. Your love and friendship means so much more to help me get better in such a terrible time of true crisis than I could ever really say in words............

Unfortunately our run of bad luck has not quite ended.

On top of our pool having a huge hole in it and leaking out the bottom, someone hit a pole at the community college down the road and we lost power just after we got me home!

Then, the worst phone call we could have gotten today......Tony's father was on his way to the hospital in an ambulance with chest pains, they thought he was having a heart attack. At this point, this sweet angel who has taken such wonderful care of me has just had enough. He tried to call his mother who was hysterical while on the phone and trying to drive and getting lost. He didn't seem to know which way to turn or what to do. We went to our room where I could comfort him and try to help him remember the secret, thinking positive and bringing positive things to us.

It took a while, but things calmed down and then his father called. He said he sounded terrible but at least we know he was ok at this point. He was more concerned about me and if I made it home. Tony and I talked about things for a while after this and decided that even though I have lots of appointments tomorrow, he is needed most down there for tonight and he should not leave his mothers side. He is on his way there now to see his father and take care of her tonight and will come home in the morning.

Now it's his turn to get the cheery messeges of love...........please make sure you leave him some~ and thanks again for all the ones you left for me! I am convinced it is all the power of positive thoughts coming my way that saved my life this weekend!

Love,

Sav

This post is from Savvy on another site~Day 2

Here is the lastest I have on Tony's dad as well as what's going on with me.....I talked to Tony this morning and he did, in fact, have a heart attack. He had an angiogram this morning and had two out of the three main ateries 90% blocked. They put a stint in one and will put a stint in the other tomorrow. As the family was leaving to get some rest after the procedure this morning they had another scare. His leg, where they went in, started to bleed out for some reason and they had to fix it. It seems to be all better now but Tony is just a complete mess. If you knew how he felt about his father, you'd understand. I am so terribly worried about him. I'm worried for his father, and worried for the whole family, but it's so hard to see Tony hurting so badly and not be able to be there to comfort him. I just want to take this pain away.

He was trying to insist on coming back up to try to take care of me as he had promised yesterday when he left, but I told him to stay put. His family needs him there and I am so worried about his dad, this is just terrible.

Lucky for me, I have my friend Mary here from Seattle on her vacation taking care of me.

I feel sooooo bad this is how her she is spending her vacation, but she says not to as she got all her partying out this weekend with the best tour guide in the world, our dear friend Kevin! He was gracious enough to pick her up and entertain her all weekend while I was in the hospital, I don't think he minded so much, they had way too much fun together!

Anyways, she is taking me to the cardiologist and the coumidin center today to get checked out again and I will get my finger stuck to check my blood level. I seem to be ok so far. I am SOOO happy to be home, but still very, very worried about all this stuff with Tony's dad..the stress is not good, but it's kinda unavoidable. We are trying to get the kids packed as they leave tomorrow and then Mary and I will take them to the airport tomorrow and see them off to see family in Oregon and Washingtonfor a month and then we plan to head to the hospital to help out in any way we can.

I'll post more when I know more and I'll post a detailed account of my ordeal how I landed in the ICU on my blog later tonight after I get back from the doctor today.

Thanks for all the love!~ Sav

Ps. we got power back.....pool is still broken......

So, needless to say Savvy will be back soon, but with alot on her plate and will need all of us around her to be there if needed. I know she's always been there for me. I will post anything else if I get it. Hugs ~ beehonee (Michelle)

To Savvy,

I can't even imagine what you are going through and admire your positive thinking throughout this ordeal. You seem to have an amazing husband that does'nt deserve to have a precious wife and father sick at the same time. My thoughts and prayers are with you both and your Father-in law. Thank-you for the updates on your condition and continue to keep us posted.

Take care, Denise

Hey there Sav,

Thanks for keeping us posted. I am so sorry for what you and your family are going through. Your friend, Michelle, is a true friend, indeed. How wonderful that you have a great support system.

We can't wait for you to back on your feet, but take your time and get the rest you need. We'll be right here. If I were anywhere close to you, I'd help, too. I know we all would. Lyme has a way of bonding people.

Take care,

Connie

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Open your mind to the possibilities available to you.

An attitude of gratitude is good 'medicine,' too.
