This was posted by savvy's hubby on another site -

Hey everyone. I know that I don't normally send out bulletins but I just wanted to let anyone that cares know how Savannah is doing. And Let you know what's going on if you didn't know already.

As most people that talk to her know, she had a PICC line in her arm. That is a tube running up the inside of her arm and down in her chest by her heart. This was so she could get her medicine every day at the hospital for her Lyme disease. Well, when we went in on Friday morning to get her daily treatment, they found a serious problem with it. Apparently she had developed a substanial clot in the end of the tube in her chest. They took all kinds of X-rays and about 5 different other scans that I can't pronounce let alone spell! But anyway, they admitted her to the hospital and than almost immeadiately put her in the ICU. They gave her an IV in the other arm and started to give her all these other medications. In the meantime, they pumped another drug through the PICC line to disolve the clot. Once the clot was disolved, they removed the line. They were also having trouble taking blood from her. They said that it was very thick and it just wasn't coming out. This poor woman was treated like a pin custion for most of the morning. Anyway, she's still in the ICU but hopefully will be moved tonight to a regular room. They have to make sure that the blood thinners they are giving her are working before they will move her.

Well, this is just the highlights and I know that I'm forgetting stuff but my head ain't on right either. Let me know if anyone has questions. Thanks. Tony.

[i] beehonee ~ I just talked to her, she sounds good and assures me she is ok. I will let you know more when I know.

Thank you so much behonee. Our thoughts and prayers are with Savvy and her family. Please keep us posted and if you talk to her , please tell her that her mdjunction family loves her and we are looking forward to her spunk and her sense of humor as soon as she feels better.

May God bless all of us,

Connie

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Open your mind to the possibilities available to you.

An attitude of gratitude is good 'medicine,' too.
