This is going to sound really strange and gross but has anyone (women only) experienced air expulsion or air in their vagina? I've been experiencing this for about five years and my current doctor thinks it is related in some way to Lyme. There is no controlling it, it just comes out when and where it wants to.

I don't believe its lyme. I have had that happen after my Hyst. Doctor said it just air that gets caught up, up there and it has to release itself just like when you burp. I really don't think its lyme related...that one I just can't by...But you never know...

I don't think this is Lyme related either.

I think it is just something normal that happens. What does your Ob/Gyn say? Maybe you have a tipped uterus or something which cause more air to get trapped and then released...which is very common and of no real health threat.

I think it is probably safe to say that this one is just a normal inconvenience that comes with the female anatomy.

I had that happen when I was in high school (too many years ago to mention)and was embarrasing as it would always happen in Gym!!!

It's probably just one more thing with being a female!! LOL

What's really embarrassing is when it happens when you're in bed (if you know what I mean).

I have it happen, too. It's kinda like a fart, but from the vagina! LOL...But, I also don't think it's Lyme related. I think it's normal, and I think it's something you should talk to your OB/GYN about and see if he has an explanation as to why it happens. I think it's probably a lot more common than you think. Maybe someone else will know why it happens. My mom was a nurse, maybe I can remember to ask her, and if I do, I'll let you know what I find out! I wouldn't worry too much about it, tho, if I were you... *hugs*
Just because it's impossible doesn't mean it can't happen.

I'm not a doc, so anything I say is my opinion only. Nothing I say is meant as offense, I offer what I can as help.

I believe in educating myself on all my medical issues and being my own advocate, for no one else with do that on my behalf. I recommend we all do the same!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Perhaps I truly am insane for expecting these docs to listen to me when I say the same things repeatedly to no avail? LOL. I am tired of seeking out new docs and getting the same result time and again...Forgive me if I seem bitter some days.

Queefing...a relatively normal thing...happens to us all at different times...

I was wondering when someone was going to say 'queef'.

What a weird word for a weird occurrence.
