I have recently started a new protocol. I am now taking Zithromax 250mg bid and Plaquenil 200mg bid. I have been feeling as if my head is disconnected from my body. I am not sure if it is a Herx or an adverse reaction to the medication. If anyone has had any experience with these two meds, I would greatly appreciate your help!!

I also take plaquenil, but not the two together... it could most definitly be a herx. or spirocetes dying off in your brain. when i started my last combo I had the same feeling....now I've taken many meds over the past few years (mostly docs trying to cover up symptoms...not fixing anyting), and I have NEVER had a "high" feeling or "disconected" feeling to anything... then I started levaquin, and totally felt messed up....my friend said she thought it was spirocete die off... a good thing. It did go away, but does come and go sometimes...which leads me to believe a herx.
Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Thanks for the information. I appreciate it! I have been on the Zithromax for the past five months. In the beginning, I was taking it with Flagyl, which I finished back in August...I think?! Since, I came off the Flagyl, I had felt a bit more myself and with a little more energy. Now that I started the Plaquenil, I feel extremely disconnected or high. I do pray it is a die off. That is always a good thing. I am so ready to get this dirty creature out of my system that I can hardly stand it!! Anyway, thank you again for your help and have a good week!
