Sad Angry Just got news my aunt passed away not more than 10 minutes ago. We made our daily call and she was gone not less than a minute... I guess I thought I was prepared for it. I am glad she is no longer suffering but I am so sad that she's gone, yet angry that cancer took her from us.

My heart is breaking into a million pieces right now.Sad

My brother, cousin, myself and my daughter are going to make the trip from NJ to SC to see her and my parents who take care of her.

*HUGS* My sympathies to you and your family.
With Him we "live" no matter the circumstances. At His feet peace of mind can be found. Peace that passes all understanding is my quest now and forever.

I'm so sorry. You've mentioned your aunt several times before, you must have been very close. I wish you some of the peace she is now receiving.

Be sure to take good care of yourself during this time of emotional stress.

Please know I know exactly how you feel. Reading your post; makes me shake my head in agreement with you, and in disgust at Cancer as well.

I lost my grandmother last year; and it still feels like a bad bad dream. Shortly after; I got Fibromyalgia; and every doc seems to link that event as a qualifying event that caused my body to just TANK...

I still speculate it might be something else (as the dog/& I are both sick; and my grandmother had a farm)..

But anyways; I too am very angry at this demonic plauge we call cancer.. I watched it take her in 8 weeks from dx; and it was the most horrible thing I have ever witnessed.

But I will tell you something I read recently; I'm not the author.. but it reminded me when I was being angry; how mad cancer is right now itself.. because..

WHAT CANCER CAN NOT DO.."cancer is so limited; it cannot cripple love, it cannot shatter hope..it cannot corrode faith... it cannot destroy peace..it cannot kill friendship..it cannot suppress memories..it cannot silence courage..it cannot invade the soul..it cannot steal eternal life..and it cannot conquer the spirit.

and for me.. it cannot steal the love of my grandmother; or my love for her.

Remember that. =) Athena

I'm an Advocate

Lydian,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know that words don't help right now, but know that my thoughts are with you.

Hugs and BB,

jen

Just because it's impossible doesn't mean it can't happen.

I'm not a doc, so anything I say is my opinion only. Nothing I say is meant as offense, I offer what I can as help. I believe in educating myself on all my medical issues and being my own advocate, for no one else with do that on my behalf. I recommend we all do the same!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Perhaps I truly am insane for expecting these docs to listen to me when I say the same things repeatedly to no avail? LOL. I am tired of seeking out new docs and getting the same result time and again...Forgive me if I seem bitter some days.

Something has changed within me/Something is not the same/I'm through with playing by/The rules of someone else's game/Too late for second-guessing/Too late to go back to sleep/It's time to trust my instincts/Close my eyes and leap...I'm through accepting limits/Cuz someone says they're so/Some things I can not change/But till I try I'll never know/Too long I've been afraid of/Losing love I guess I lost/Well if that's love/It comes at much too high a cost/I'd sooner buy Defying Gravity/Kiss me good-bye I'm Defying Gravity/I think I'll try Defying Gravity/And you won't bring me down...

Sorry to hear of your loss. Be strong and try not to be sad or angry its over, but happy it happened. I hope these quotes provide some comfort.

"We're meant to lose the people we love. How else would we know how important they are to us?"

- The Curious Case of Benjamin Button-

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away…

-anonymous-

Nothing is ever wholly lost. That which is excellent remains forever a part of this universe.

my heart goes out to all of you who have lost a loved one recently and more to come soon.

if you have a video of them, copy it, and then play it often when you are sad and missing them. it helps hearing their voices/laughter and watching their mannerisms and gestures!

hoping some of these sympathy poems will help you all Smile hugs/kisses
