When I try and go for a walk my back is killing me and it sets me back. I do have a herniated disk but does the Lyme irritate that area even more. The back always hurts but even after a walk I cant even move. Anyone feel this?

not that, but ill have a sharp pain in my back in once spot, almost like nerve pain, maybe it is, and i cant really stand properly, like pinched nerve. It may last a day at most, then dissappear for a week, a month, or 5, and some back in exactly same spot same acuteness for a day or so, then go again. Really weird. So i can relate to the pain factor.

its possible it could be do to lyme, but if it is always constantly there in same spot, and feels near herniated disk, it could be that. could simply be inflamation around the site of the herniated disk, which is a good thing. Inflamation is your bodys immune response working to heal it.

I just got two cortisones to relieve my pain which is a no no . People with Lyme should not get cortisones shots from what i understand. The rib pain and back pain constantly with me and never goes away . It sounds like yours comes and goes right. This Lyme i really irritating those areas and I guess the herniated disk as well. I am setting up appt to see a LLMD to get cured is my goal. Thanks for the info

I'm an Advocate

Jano,

What you have to remember is that Lyme loves to get into areas that are vulnerable. So with herniated discs (and this I know well, having 2 of them and another bulging!), you have a very vulnerable area with tissue that may want to rebuild, but isn't able to--it's like an open wound inside the body, and it's rife for the taking, so to speak, where Lyme's concerned. Those buggers love it. They also love areas where new tissue is building, so it's a great buy, as far as Lyme is concerned.

I'd get myself to an LLMD ASAP!

Good luck, hugs,

Just because it's impossible doesn't mean it can't happen.

I'm not a doc, so anything I say is my opinion only. Nothing I say is meant as offense, I offer what I can as help. I believe in educating myself on all my medical issues and being my own advocate, for no one else with do that on my behalf. I recommend we all do the same!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Perhaps I truly am insane for expecting these docs to listen to me when I say the same things repeatedly to no avail? LOL. I am tired of seeking out new docs and getting the same result time and again...Forgive me if I seem bitter some days.
