MDJunction to me

saralaurie"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

Yep, I've seen all these and compared them to my son. That is really what convienced me that it was Bart. Well, not those bottom two pics, they look like absesses or something different. We just have stretch marks.

yea, it's one thing to get stretch marks during pregnancy or when you gain a lot of weight quickly....But in my case I got them when I was a child around 10 or 11...

Yes I was growing but my stretch marks were everywhere , behind my knees under my upper arms, on my breasts and all around my stomache and back going every direction making me look like a scottish pattern kilt all purpley and red.

It was SO weird but no one had any idea it was anything other than weird stretch marks..and no one else in my family got them.

With Him we "live" no matter the circumstances. At His feet peace of mind can be found. Peace that passes all understanding is my quest now and forever.

My pcp just looked at my son and pictures and said " you don't get stretch marks behind your knee and across your back vertically". Yep. They do look different. I have them from pregnancy, but they don't look like his. Looking at the pics, you can see them change over the year. The doc said, stretch marks dont change like that. becky

My 19 y/o has them, as well. She has not responded to treatment for the bart. Just this past weekend, I stumbled upon "Cushings Syndrome." Same rash, & all the same symptoms she has. And she never did test positive for bart, so we'll be talking to the doctor about this next visit.

Ah I actually thought I had cushings JUST before I started reading about Lyme...Yup it fit me too..but I dont have cushings...so it would be easy to mix them up.

My daughter went to an LLMD two weeks ago and he asked her if she had any stretch marks during the 2 1/2 hour exam. She showed her ever-expanding stretch marks to him and he said they are probably really a rash from Bartonella. We are waiting for the blood work to come back. From what I have read, they are "non-blanching" if they are from Bartonella. Press on them and they will not momentarily turn white as regular stretch marks do. Good luck!

will a bartonelli rash/stretch mark lighten with time? I had them VERY red/purple when I was a kid but that was more than 30 years ago and some of them have turned flesh color.

Thanks for the pictures. Interesting ive never had the classic cat scratch marks however ive had the second last one where it looks like an abscess as someone put it.

It would be dart purple and it would come and go. Interesting enough i had it before i thought i was bitten by a tick. Kind of leads me to think ive had this longer than i thought which explains why its taking so long to get rid of this disease.

I have the rash. I'm 25, and I freaked out. I mean, what 25 year old wants to wear a tank top or bathing suit and everyone see what appear to be stretch marks?

I've been a little overwheight since the Lyme, Bart, and Babs decided to get really bad. Evenso, I had the rash when I was a kid and small. I've had it all since I was seven and spent all the time until I was 22 before we figured it all out.

The rash gets redder and then fades a bit for me as the symptoms flare and recede. I hate the rash, but it is there. The symptoms do fit other diseases, but if you have Lyme, Cushings is an unlikely and rareish disease and the having Lyme points to Bart.

We found the Bart after the Babs and Lyme because the Bart wasn't flaring. It's making it difficult to make it through the treatment and seriously slowing it down.
