First, do you know of a LLMD in New Hampshire. I live in the Lakes Region of NH.

Second, I've heard many of you say you had to pay for the Igenex testing yourself. What is the cost? I've checked the website and I see nothing about charges. Just that they don't accept any insurance payments, except something about Medicare.

My daughters PCP did a Lyme test, but it wasn't the one I asked for. It was some basic test that looks for antibodies, it wasn't a western blot. It was negative, which didn't surprise me. They wouldn't even tell me what the name of the test was. They told me to call the lab in CA to ask them. Yah, sure.

I know they think I'm crazy. Sometimes I feel crazy.

Hi alagash98 and welcome to the crazy world of Lyme.

I didn't have Igenex, so I don't know. My tests were done by Immunsciences...I'm trying to forget how much it was, but I think around $700. My insurance didn't pay for any of my treatment. I had to travel out of state to get proper treatment. Oh well, it was soooo worth it, because I am better. I got what I paid forWink .

Well, your medical records are just that , yours. So, you keep asking for copies of your tests, they are rightfully yours, don't take no for an answer. Stand up to them.

They are the ones who are crazyTongue . It's not all in our heads. This disease is as real as cancer, HIV, westnile virus, etc. Mosst doctors are just plain ignorant about it(not all their fault...lots of politics surrounding this disease). So, I'm glad you are looking for an LLMD. PM Jaime with your question, she will help you find one in your area. She is our group leader.

I went to an alternative clinic in the South. If you are willing to travel this far, I'm happy to share any and all details with you. Just pm me.

Keep us posted

Peace,

Connie

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Open your mind to the possibilities available to you.

An attitude of gratitude is good 'medicine,' too.

Hello,

I have the price list with me as I just had my tests done Monday.

basic lyme panel: WB IgG, WB IgM & lyme IFA is $260

Initial lyme panel: WB IgG, WB IgM, lyme PCR serum and whole blood is $420 or $410 (hard to see on my copy)

Complete co-infection panel is $660

There are others , but those are the basics. I chose the initial lyme and complete co-infection panels. I had to pay up front but my insurance will reimburse me.

Good luck and take care, Denise

Denise
