MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

Hello all,

I thought I would update you on my staus. After waiting since May 9th I finally got my IgeneX testing done. I already know that I have lyme disease through my other Dr. at the alternative clinic but I want to prove to Kaiser that my symptoms that I've had for years is lyme. I, like others, have had to educate my Dr.s on this disease. They at least suspected lyme but only did the screening test which of course came back negative. My hope is that my case will be an eye opener to Kaiser and hope they will change their policies, dare to dream.

I had to pay for my tests up front but Kaiser will reimburse me. I also must say that my ID Dr. has been very supportive thus far and worked hard to get my tests approved. I got a deep tissue massage the day before on recommendation from Garret on the forum. I guess it helps to get the spirochetes out of hiding and into your blood.

I am also excited because now I can start some real treatments. I will have my first hyperbaric oxygen tx today an begin the natural abx my Dr. gave to me. Let the herxing begin! LOL. Actually Connie tells me the herxing is'nt so bad and that my clinic will help me along the way.

I will let you all know when my test results come back and how I am doing on my txs. BTW how long did it take some of you to get your test results back from IgeneX?

Good luck to all nad take care, Denise

I had to wait 5 weeks because it was around Christmas time. When I got a call before 8am from my doc, I knew it was a positive before they told me.

You know, I never had herxing from my alternative treatments, at all. I did get flu-like from the detox when it was getting all the crap out of my system... it only lasted about 2 days. I've never felt bad again.

I'll be interested to see how you do with all that. Keep me posted! I'm excited for you. I'll be there next week! I HATED the hyperbaric oxygen chamber during my last treatment. My bladder was screwed up b/c of the Lyme. Our doc fixed it -- so, now I can sit in there without DYING. hehe.

Wow I guess I was lucky I sent my Igenex kit out on a Monday and my doc called me the following Friday. I can't imagine having to wait as long as you'll. Sorry I'm from the South. Good Luch to all.
