Hi Cooley, I don't know if anyone answered you on this yet (through private message, etc.). What you have sounds like classic Lyme. It messes with your thyroid, gallbladder, adrenals, etc. No one in my family has thyroid troubles either, but mine began BIG time when I started getting sick almost 5 years ago. Most of us here have been diagnosed with MS, EB, lupus, etc. I also have small and large fiber neuropathy and autonomic neuropathy. I do not know what you are taking, but there are a lot of different meds that you can experiment with. First, do you have an LLMD (Lyme Literate MD) who is prescribing antibiotics, etc.? The typical doctor does not know or understand anything about Lyme, nor does he care to. Once you get on those, you will need to get a good probiotic (acidophilus, etc.) to prevent candida. Lyrica or Neurontin helps with nerve pain, and you need to be getting good sleep. B12 shots and PhosChol (supplement) help with fatigue. It helps to take natural thyroid, like Armour thyroid, instead of Synthroid or levothyroxine - you will notice more of a difference with the natural thyroid. There are other meds and supplements and I could go on and on. But first, if you need an LLMD to get started, please let us know. Welcome to MDJ!
