MDJunction to me

"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (bunnyfly)

Hello All.

Well, since I gave the news to my family - I thought I would give it to my MDJ Family as well!

My birthday was on Monday and turned out to be the most interesting day yet. I don't know why I chose to do this, but I took a pregnancy test that day. I didn't 'feel' pregnant but I've been feeling SO good for about 2 weeks. I haven't felt this great (no fatigue, etc) since well over 2 years ago. I figured that it would be like me to feel great and be pregnant. So, the test turned out positive immediately. Doug and I are having a baby!

So, here I am happy as can be but scared too death about having a child with Lyme. Obviously, this is where I am looking to all of you with children for advice.

I am not happy with my OB/GYN at the moment. I told him about the Lyme thing, he looked at me like I was nuts. Are you guys even surprised??? haha. So, I'll be finding a new doctor soon. I know there is one around here who is Lyme Literate.

Well, Doug and I are getting married on September 6th at my ranch in New Mexico (where the little one was conceived) and we are due February 15th.

I never wanted to get married and have kids until I met Doug. Now, if I can just be lucky on the Lyme thing....

Good luck, Clayton. I know everything will be okay, just don't stress about it and enjoy the feeling.

Congratulations Clayton!

You are in great hands for your lyme tx. so I know you and baby will be fine. My daughter is getting married Sept. 13th this year and my anniversary is Sept. 7th, so it's a lucky month to get married. Enjoy your pregnancy, I loved both of mine.

Take care and good luck, Denise

CONGRATULATIONS CLAYTON!!!!

This is very exciting. I hope you continue to feel good and stay 'peppy'. Good luck with all the planning and preparations for the two biggest events in your life. Woo-hoo, thank God you have Lyme on the run.

God bless,

Connie

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Open your mind to the possibilities available to you.

An attitude of gratitude is good 'medicine,' too.

congratulations!!!! and as long as you have a good LLdr on board you will be fine!!! dont overdo, take advantage of all helpers who offer...and relax!!!

the fact that youve been feeling ok for a while is a great sign!!

plus the immune system while pregnant may change in good ways--some with other illnesses feel their best while pregnant

The only thing you have to look into is whether youll think its ok to breatfeed--once you deliver, the immune protection may lessen, youll be very much wekaer and need to recharge, and while breast milk is best for babies there is that risk of transmission ( and this from someone who was a La Leche leader!!)

Im sure whatever you decide itll be right for you!!

take good care of yourself

Finette

You and the baby will be AOK... Just get plenty of rest. My sister had cancer while pregnant she found out when she was 6 months. Matt is a healthy 27 year old child today.

Planning a wedding is so much fun, but can be stressful (just did it while I had lyme) so be careful with the stress factor...September is a busy month it seems.. Ok Its a great month, I got married on the 15, birthday on the 13th, you getting married on the 6th, my best friend is getting married on the 6th, I better take stock in Hallmark...lol lol

Enjoy the great feeling you are feeling...In a few months you will have a healthy bouncing baby boy/girl...
