"My daughter and I both have Lyme disease" (TLCMom)

MDJunction to me

ThereseML"When I first came to MDJ, I was in need of peer support in dealing with issues of my childhood abuse. I was moving away from the painful issues and trying to find an uplifting group of people to help me transition to a thriver in my life. I found that here. I also found a group of peers with Fibromyalgia and found the same uplifting experience there. My computer crashed and it was a while before I found my way back, this time with issues related to Parkinson's Disease. I had tried a few other support sites before reminding myself of MDJ. On those, I never got a reply. I finally found my way back here and again found very supportive, caring and inspiring people who made me feel like I was 'back home'. Indeed I am." (ThereseML)

Yo! sauna and shower and moisturizing are done!

We are in the southeast corner of MN, right on the Mississippi River. It is a beautiful 1.75 hour drive from the MOA (mall of america), not even that, I guess...

We have a wellness center, tea shop (soon to be online in a matter of weeks), and we sell and ship far-infrared saunas all over the nation... we do massage (I've been doing it for 12 years now, Sarah for 8, maybe more), wellness consultation stuff...

Gosh, just know that you are welcomed anytime, ok?! Unless we are in China sourcing more teas and tea wares!

It'd be great!

When we got back from China last, we did a fast for two-weeks cause nothing here compares to the food we ate there! It is so good that I had to learn to cook more of it myself or I'd starve Smile

FSU fan- DO I lokk that old??? LOL

I am grateful for my mom's fabulous genes and our baby faces. I still get carded for liquor...top shelf only, of course! Wink Except I don't drink all that much either anymore. I don't like to be drunk and I sure don't care for the Super Lyme-sized hangover! Tongue

Jen, you are a welcomed addition to anywhere I am...delusions and all! Silly ANd as Garret already said, since it is his delusion, after all,...the more the merrier.

Garret, I like my nickname just fine. My father started the nickname in an attempt to embarrass me.

Obviously he had no knowledge of the real meaning of Dharma. I, being a student of social studies and having taken a number of Eastern studies classes, was wholly aware and accepted the title with honor. And yes, I do try to live in the right way. Smile

BTW...I'll be joining Mom for the tea, sauna, massage and Chinese!! LOL Jen, you in? Grin

Blush Thanks Betty!

Hi Betty!

I am glad you enjoyed your time here!! I hope your doc visit was beneficial... I bet I know the doc! How long ago were you here? I may even know your cousin, given that it's just that large of a community...

Ok, Dharma is in for a good time in Winona, as well! If it's during the warmer months we'll go canoing on the Mississippi, too...

Dharma is a great nickname!! I aspire to live up to the Dharma all the time. This meditation stuff is hard work some days, but what else would I do with my time, right?!?

Can't wait for the party! And I know what you mean about a Lyme size hangover, that's why I'm such a lightweight with it. I thought that you should know I'm a cheap date Smile

Ok, I've got one more massage appt in just 15 minutes so I am going to get the table ready for her. I've had the pleasure of doing work from several continents today... I did a Thai massage, some Chinese tuina, some shiatsu and this next session is going to be a luxurious warm oil massage to smooth the week out of her.

I hope you all can come in sometime for a session! It'd be great!

Later, dear friends,

Garret

Betty--I hear ya! I go away for a while, and here I come back to all this.

Ok, Garrett, I won't be married in your delusion! Smile And Mexican and Chinese work just fine for me...

Dharma, I'm totally IN! Laughing

Hugs,

Jen Smile

Just because it's impossible doesn't mean it can't happen.

I'm not a doc, so anything I say is my opinion only. Nothing I say is meant as offense, I offer what I can as help. I believe in educating myself on all my medical issues and being my own advocate, for no one else with do that on my behalf. I recommend we all do the same!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Perhaps I truly am insane for expecting these docs to listen to me when I say the same things repeatedly to no avail? LOL. I am tired of seeking out new docs and getting the same result time and again...Forgive me if I seem bitter some days.

Something has changed within me/Something is not the same/I'm through with playing by/The rules of someone else's game/Too late for second-guessing/Too late to go back to sleep/It's time to trust my instincts/Close my eyes and leap...I'm through accepting limits/Cuz someone says they're so/Some things I can not change/But till I try I'll never know/Too long I've been afraid of/Losing love I guess I lost/Well if that's love/It comes at much too high a cost/I'd sooner buy Defying Gravity/Kiss me good-bye I'm Defying Gravity/I think I'll try Defying Gravity/And you won't bring me down...

Dharma: No, you look young too. You were blessed with your mom's genes. Smile That reminds me..my mom said when I was a child a friend of hers asked me how my mom looked so young. I replied "cause she uses Oil of Olay"Laughing
