I went to my LLMD this Sat. Im feeling great. The more sleep I get the better I feel. I told my LLMD Im following the Dr. Joeseph Burrascano's diet. Its very strict. My LLMD said that the diet is really for people who cant walk etc. I am so focused to win the battle .Im following this diet & seeing great results ....fast with abx and moderate exercise. I hope others can follow the diet. Its very very hard.

Hope everyone heals ..

God Bless

What type of lyme co infections do you have? What are some of your symptoms? Do you have neurological symptoms? How bad was your infection I guess is a good way to put it. It'd be good to know your baseline to see how far you have come.

The reason I ask is because I see now looking back that I was infected at least once as a child and possibly again later in life...I'm now 40. I've never had any treatment for lyme..Hoping to see an llmd right after the new year...

I have a lot of neuropathy and some cognitive issues that are getting worse...It was wax and wane for several years but now it's on a sliding slope and getting worse for me..It's so scary! My mind used to be my one strong point!

I have severe hypoglycemia that causes incidents several times a week. Is this diet safe for a hypoglycemic??

Thanks in advance!

good for you sweetie~ I'm glad you're feeling better. Burascanno's are the main guidlines and he really seems to have a handle on it all, knows what he's talking about.

I know there are things I can change that would help me feel better (ie I smoke...big no no)But I feel like it's my 2 minutes away from the kids.I', sure I could eat better amd exercise more...he says if you don't exercise you don't get well...it's just so hard to exercise on top of 2 kids and house to take care of, diner, dishes showers, etc etc etc....

keep up your good work~

Well Jaime - I will still keep pushing that you need to go GF - I seriously think it interferes with your pain meds...I will leave that there...

Dave Glad to hear that things are getting so much better for you...we need more stories like yours...keep us posted...many newbies need to know that they can get better...

Tara - I am trying to pull from memory - but you could probably do the diet - you just may need to make some modifications...i would check into it...or just start simple with going Gluten Free, no refined sugars and no processed foods...and then go from there...

Thanks Cmany,

You and others are so knowledgeable with this disease. Im learning day by day. My LLMD eyes got real wide when she knew how strict I was on this diet lol. My brain fog is gone . I still have stiff neck real bad and my traps near my shoulders hurt & mild dizziness. My mind is now clear ,crisp and sharp real focused brain. I guess the dizziness and stiff neck with mild joint pain is the last to go. Im hoping its not permanent damage in my brain since I was infected real bad since 2001 maybe even earlier who knows. That is scaring me with the mild dizziness. I do see alot of improvement. These symtpoms are gone : Swollen glands, Night sweats, constant urination,Brain fog, memory loss, severe muscle pain where i couldnt get outta bed, headaches gone, severe eye pain gone its there very mild now. With these symtpoms gone in 5 1/2 months I pray the dizziness goes away . I had that since 2001 maybe its the last thing to go Smile

Going gluten free has decreased my pain by about 40%...that is huge to me! I am off vicodin...although it wasnt even that helpful. I can have gluten sporadically and be ok...but if I have a few off days in a row the gluten gets me. Its amazing the difference. Also alcohol I am the same way with. Diet is so key...can't wait till I can exercise. Getting a medport in Jan so excercising may have to wait a bit! (sigh) Cant wait to feel better!!!
