MDJunction to me

"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

Hello all,

I had a terrible day with pain and overwhelming fatigue. I felt worthless, my husband and my daughter were my slaves getting me what I needed. I'd almost prefer a day of my clobbering headaches over this burning, throbbing, relentless pain that tylenol does'nt touch. My pain is due to my heinous crime of attempting to live a normal life by going to an Atlanta Braves baseball game Saturday night with my husband. What was worse is that they lost and lost again on Sunday, swept at home by the Phillies. I was having a good day despite my horrible week of dragging myself to work each day. I knew I was going to pay for it.

It's just so frustrating to have to live this way. I'd like for just ONE callous politician attempting to squash the HR 741 bill, ONE misguided Doctor, ONE

unsympathetic co-worker, to live just ONE day with our pain! What's really crazy is my story is FAR less worse then some of you all. My heart goes out to all of you that are suffering and I have'nt even seen the "Under our skin" movie.

But alas! God was good to me today and gave me two gifts. One was answer to prayer for Luvdtoteup on the forum. She recieved some great news that will help her win her fight to get finacially back on track and to get well. Also my wonderful father offered to purchase me my own far-infared sauna to help me get well. I also am blessed to be going to this great clinic in Atlanta for my treatment. I just have to be patient for the treatments to work.

So for all of you discouraged lymies, remember to keep the faith in whatever form you wish.

Take care, Denise

Denise

Hi Denise,

I'm sorry about your terrible day. I had lots of terrible days when I was recovering last summer. I missed my own birhtday party...ha, I really did. I had been struggling with an 8 day long migraine and I didn't have the energy to go to dinner with my girlfriends who so graciously offered to take me to dinner. I cancelled dates with my husband. Yeah, I had the babysitter lined up, but I was just too tired sometimes. He understood. I missed some family birthday parties, too. I felt bad about that, but I really just couldn't rally too much last summer. I think I was more fatigued when I began treatment than when I was sick. However, I kept up the regimen of my natural antibiotics and all the other stuff, and I found my way through the maze of Lyme. I feel better than ever (even though I was reinfected). This second infection has not been a big deal, at all!!!

This fatigue and pain will pass and you will eventually feel better. Do what's right for you and don't worry about the rest. It sounds like you have a supportive family and they want you to get better.

I feel your frustration regarding callous physicians, too. I was referred to a psychiatrist for my pain.

Better days are coming, keep fighting.

Peace,

Connie

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Open your mind to the possibilities available to you.

An attitude of gratitude is good 'medicine,' too.
