Ok, after talking with my husband we both decided if we are going for this we might as well go all the way.

I will have the following done today and sent out today:

Initial lyme Panels: Western Blot IgG, Western Blot IgM, Lyme PCR-Serum $390.00

Complete Co-infections panel: Babesia Microti IgG & IgM, Babesia FISH, HME IgG & IgM, HGE IgG & IgM, Martonella IgG & Igm

Is this good to start with or do I need more, the cost for both is over $1,000 and I'm hoping my insurance will pay for some of it.

good for you Julie.... you need to fight fire with fire here. lyme does kill. do you have a llmd? and when you start treatment, be forewarned about the herx reaction.... you may get symptoms you never had, your normal symptoms may intensify.... this is a good thing even though it doesn't sound like it, it means the abx are working. omnicef is a good one to start with, and so is biaxin, so far it's been my favorite combo....he added levaquin to help with the bartonella, and I'm not liking it at all....but so the game goes. Many of us go through just about all the abx out there a few months at a time because lyme is a smart disease, it mutates and travels in the tissues, not the blood, that's why blood tests are usually negative. It's great you are getting the tests, but don't be disapointed if they are negative, if you have a good llmd they will treat symptomatically, that's what mine is diong, I have about 60 symptoms,....
Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Hi:

I can't take most meds for lyme. Can't take biaxin, cipro, Zitromax, Sulf drugs, Pencillin, you name it. That is the problem my ID doctor is having. I saw an allergist and I will start tomorrow Ceflu (Can't remember the name) and see if I react to that one. I've been in the hospital due to reactions, I get hives and can't breath, I hate taking any form of pill but I guess I have to try.

My concern is, if I can't take any of the pills, then what, die,... Ok not funny.

Hi:

I'm on Cefuroxime Axetil 500mg twice a day. That is all my body will allow. I wish I could take more but can't...I'm looking into natural stuff but not sure about that route either. I'm waiting for my results from the lab in CA....

I've been on it a week today. its ok, I also have to take bendryl with it in the event I have a reaction to it. I'm hoping I can stay on it awhile. Does give me the "runs"...

How are you doing on it??
