Me, too. I'd also like some of that world famous garlic dip! That sounds really good. Isn't garlic a natural antibiotic, too? Let food be our medicine!

Oh My Goodness, the Banana Quessa's are the Best! I was going to a cinco de mayo party earlier this month and wanted to do something a little different so since I hate flan and fried ice cream is too hard to bring to a party, I scoured the internet for dessert ideas to bring and came across and Emeril recipe for that and boy does everyone love them! Now I'm getting special requests! They were the hit of the party yesterday and the surprise birthday boy used to be a top chef and restaurant owner in our area and was he ever impressed with my cooking! It's so freakin easy, you'd just die...LOL not hard to find, look it up if you want them~

As for the world famous garlic dip, I was too tired to make both so I am going to make it this week and freeze it for our next bbq at home cause my husband can't get enough of it...but that recipe is completely coveted and I can't share that with you! Maybe one of these days you'll be lucky enough to get to try it out!

I sure wish I could have some wine though...does anyone else have alcohol intolerance with their lyme? Even when I'm not on Antibiotics, I seem to have developed some sort of an allergy to it and it really pisses me off!! LOL

What are your symptoms when you drink wine? I wonder if you might have an overgrowth of candida albicans. Wine feeds the yeast and can make you feel really bad. If you've been on antibiotics before, it is a real possiblity. Are you taking probiotics?

Thanks for sharing banana ques. recipe. The garlic dip even freezes well?!!! Come on, we are at war together against lyme, I think you can trust us with your recipe

We've gotten way off the original topic, but it's nice to have a little fun here, too

not only does it freeze well, it's BETTER after freezing!!! But I can't give it up.....I stole it from my sister and promised I would never tell anyone but my daughter how to make it. I bet if you mixed a few creamy things and some fresh garlic, you could come up with something tasty though~ That's all I'm sayin! LOL

As for the alcohol, it's been before the antibiotics that I started having a weird reaction to it. I am physically so uncomfortable, like my stomach hurts, my liver hurts and I feel bloated and full after only maybe a quarter of a drink.....my cheeks (I'm very irish so it really shows) are instantly red and they get hot and itchy and it all usually goes straight to my head. Not at all like a normal reaction of alcohol, it's not even worth drinking it anymore!

oh, and I can't take the probiotic pills, I throw them right back up instantly so I eat yogurt with probiotic just about every day. It helps to some extent, but I still have a lot of stomach trouble. They recently put me on some stomach meds to help more, but don't ask me what it's called!! I just take em......I'm up to like 7 pills a day I think now.....

So sad about no wine. I'm really very sorry. Maybe some others will come along and help you figure it out.

I had stomach troubles , too. In fact, I was diagnosed with severe ulcerative colitits in April of this year by my allopathic GI doc. I love my GI doc. He's very open-minded and respects my decision to stay off prescriptions as much as possible. Well, my blood work doesn't match the pictures that were taken during my colonoscopy (the only good thing about the scope is that nice feeling when it's over). My GI had no explanation for the mismatch. Typical Lyme, huh? It turns out, it is Lyme in my colon. I got some homeopathics and herbals last week while I was at my clinic to heal my colon and to continue to kick lyme out of my house.

yeah, it sucks....I could use a glass of wine from time to time, but I'm not a big drinker so I guess it's not that big a deal. I just get elected to drive more often! LOL

I haven't had to go to a GI just yet.......hoping I won't have to....I'm still clinging to the idea that this newest doctor will get me better.

I finally managed, even though my stomach still hurts, to up my dose of Doxy yesterday like the doc wanted me to a week ago. Now I'm on three a day. We'll see if I start herxin again like I did from it when I first started. I sure wish I'd known that was what was going on then!! I thought I was losing my damn mind!!!

Speaking of losing my mind.....does anyone have trouble getting, "itchy" from all these meds? I am getting lots of hives the last week or so and I think it's the meds and they're mostly on my head. Is this something that needs immediate attention or can it wait till I go back on Wed.? I feel like I got fleas!! (checked for any bugs...nothin there, just me itchin and making lots of scratch marks)

btw, I re-evaluated.....and decided we are officially NOT off topic....the topic was Random Thoughts! LOL We are all about as random as can freakin get! LOL

Another random question.......my family is freezing because I feel like I always have a fever or a sunburn or something and I constantly have fans and air conditioning going as cold as possible in the house and the car, but I have taken my temp and I don't have one. Is anyone else having early menopause, because between the heat and the fleas I really feel I'm in HELL! It's a good thing I have a good sense of humor.......
