MDJunction to me

"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (bunnyfly)

UV hardening therapy: a novel intervention in patients with photosensitive cutaneous lupus erythematosus.

this was a home based trial in which Exposure to the UVB source was performed year-round, 3 times weekly, with increasing doses to a maximum of 10 minutes per session.

My interest in this arises from my Vitamin D3 research.

The best way of getting Vitamin D3 is from sunlight and clearly people with lupus generally are unable to out into direct sunlight they therefore almost universally have low or deficient Vitamin D status and this causes many of the symptoms that are associated with Lupus.

The idea of obtaining a small home solaria and carefully exposing different sections of your skin to a few minutes UVB light each day, partly to raise your vitamin d status and partly to harden your skin sounds sensible to me.
