Although I'm asymptomatic, my bloodwork indicates Lupus. I am terrified of the treatment, more than of the disease.

Running tons of searches, I ran accross Kalawalla. Does anybody know anything (positive) about it, or is it just another illusion sold to the desperate?

Blood tests do not diagnose lupus. If you have no symptoms, you dont' have lupus- which is a good thing!

Only a rheumatologist is qualified to diagnose lupus and related diseases. And a rheumy wouldn't diagnose you with lupus off bloodwork alone as it's not a definitive test.

To receive the diagnosis of lupus, you need to meet a list of criteria... if you don't meet that list, there's no lupus.

Have you been to a rheumatologist yet 'silk'?

Please try not to read too much into a Lupus diagnosis until you absolutely have to. And once diagnosed, take it in baby steps. Otherwise, you might work yourself into a panic and that wouldn't be good.

Keep us informed. Let us know more about your symptoms, blood work, doctor(s), etc. and we'll try and help lead you in the right direction. We're here for ya.
