I take prednisone, plaquenil, bactrim, hydrochlorothiazide, cozaar, carvedilol, and coumadin. I'm pretty sure the bactrim and hydrochlorothiazide have sun sensitivity mentioned on the side effects list. Supposedly plaquenil is supposed to help with sun sensitivity?

I couldn't tolerate the Prednisone, I currently take Plaquenil and have had sun sensitivity, but nothing serious.(as long as I use strong sunscreen)I have nerve damage due to a folic acid and B12 deficiency because the Lupus stopped the absorption of both of those. I know take injections. Since they aren't absorbed thru digestion, they have to be put into my bloodstream. The nerve damage caused a TIA last October, but no permanent damage.

Since taking the Plaquenil, I feel better overall.

I am blessed. I have more good days than bad.
