MDJunction to me

saralaurie"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

Cool I must say having those emoticons there to display my facial expression does help. I'm brand new here, stumbled upon this website which I had no idea existed until I read a blogger's story on lupus.

Hmmmmmmm, my story is a long one but i'll try to keep it short. First off, i'm thrilled to meet you all here, I've been wanting to vent out for a while about the "L" word Whistling My friends and family have heard enough from me.

I was diagnosed in May 2007 with Lupus, was put on medical leave for over a month due to swollen knees and joints, they are days where I can barely walk to the train station or bus to go to work. I'm 36 years old so you can imagine my frustration, not being able to paint or write sometimes...there's so much I can say about this disease that has left me annoyed but I try to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Right now, i'm dealing with joint pain and feeling exhausted, also not being able to sleep at night. I'll be going for some acupuncture next week to see if it will alleviate the pain. Has anyone here tried acupuncture before? Does it help?

I also have bad acne on one side of my face, always had smooth skin cause I'm not a soda or coffee drinker, but now my face looks Sick

Again, i'm fighting to keep a positive outlook cause I know it does help.

Welcome to the group! We're glad you found us. I have been looking into acupuncture as well (trying to keep my fight as natural as possible) I just haven't found a practitioner that I feel comfortable with. Please let us know how it goes! Can't wait to hear. Staying positve is one of the best things we can do for ourselves.

Have a beautiful day,

Kaitlan
