Hello everyone, I am of course new here. I have posted once to another group but other than that I am learning to navigate around the site.

I have lupus and have had it for several years. I guess I had it as a child but nobody really knew a thing about autoimmune diseases in my family. It wasnt until my daughter was in preschool that I even heard of lupus. She had discoid lupus. Still I didnt realize I had anything. About 7 years ago I couldnt get this rash to go away and I started getting sick more often. I was always tired, my joints were swelling and I just couldnt figure out why everytime the sun would touch my skin I would break out.

Eventuaqlly after seeing the doctor and many blood tests I learned that I had lupus. I also learned I had other auto immune diseases.

At 36 I have been on many many different medications and several different tests. Now I dont take as many medications and I a have learned to live with lupus.

Next week for the first time in 5 years I am going to go for an interview and try to get back into the working world. I dont know if I can do it but I am sure going to give it all I have trying.

I used to moderate an online group for people with autoimmune diseases and left when it became a place for people to try to sell miracle cures to others thinking there was actually a possibility that it would work.

I'm going to take some time and read through the postings. I dont know what I have to offer but if there is anything I can do please dont hesitate to ask.

I look forward to getting to know you all better.
