MDJunction to me

"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

I was diagnosed a year ago with SLE. The symptoms I have become familiar with though lead me to think I have had Lupus for about 15 to 20 years. I have managed to keep working so far. There are times that I can barely drag myself to work. I know I need to slow down. I work at a very fast paced office and sometimes work 60+ hours a week. Right now I am having a pretty bad flire and had to stay home from work today. How I was diagnosed was Oct. 06 I ended up in the hospital for 5 days with fevers of 103 degress and severe pains through my whole body. I also had the butterfly rash. It was not until Dec. 06 that they did a punch biopsy on the rash on my face and arm that I was diagnosed. I know I was diagnosed rather quickly and am greatful for that.

Welcome to the group dxiechix! We're glad to have you here. I'm like you now that I know what lupus is and what the symptoms are...I'm pretty sure I have been sick most of my life but it wasn't until my kidneys went wacka-du that my doctors really suspected anything was wrong (I was told it was all in my head up until that point) I hope you are doing well!

*gentle hugs*

Kaitlan
